Do you have a pic of the interior lights on? Thanks
Sure do. I tried to upload a few more pics last night, but the system would not let me.
Here are some pics with the dome light installed in the OEM housing and beforehand when I tested to make sure they worked.

I might look into those. Would you say they are 2x or 3x brighter than stock?

Even though I only looked at them last night for the first time in the dark, I would say that the whites are more than twice as bright while the reds are so much more mellow I would say they are probably also more than twice as bright, but just don’t feel that way. They are much more comfortable. I’m great for camping just like with hunting. Don’t like to scare animals or attract bugs.

One of the first things ordered for the truck were molle panels that install along the center console, made by DV8 Offroad.

I’d rate my installation as partially successful. Two forward mount points on the driver side are too shallow for the M5 rivet sleeves to sink in fully. I tried to fix the problem by getting underneath the console plastic and using trim tools as temporary spacers. It worked on the lower hole. Glad we had a rivnut toolset, used on another project.

There are more mount points on the top of the console on each side, but I’m hesitant to drill there. I’ll see if we get some rattling if so, I will still try to figure out a way to shore things up without more drilling. The install requires 1/4” holes to seat the M5 rivets.

Here’s a few shots of the progress….hope everyone is having a good afternoon.

… The very next thing I'll do is a wrap. …
Tomorrow I am going to get a quote on full PPF/wrap, likely a color change.
I’ve been grappling with this since I got the truck in Ice Cap because I strongly preferred the Bronze Oxide. When I found the white truck with the trailer camera system built in and a 6ft bed, I viewed those as far important than color. I live in an expensive area for getting work done and this is not something I am equipped to do myself. So this is going to be a gnarly, gnarly price quote. I think in the realm of $7500. *gasp* maybe I should just buy dark sunglasses because this white truck is friggin’ blinding me.

Went to a snooty wrap & tint shop and made a res for them to have the truck from Nov. 21 to Dec. 5 at the latest. Main wrap color is Satin Champagne.

Roof and side mirror caps will be Frozen Black - awesome looking color! The brand is Pure PPF, a gel-infused colored PPF. This is thick and self healing. The same brand will be used to tint all windows 70% plus a windshield sunstrip.

Gonna sell a kidney. But I won’t be blinded by Ice Cap any more.

Happy Halloween! 🎃

It will be like a bronze oxide, but nicer!

re: Post #13 in this build thread, adding a hidey hole on the passenger side of the dash. I’d say 90% successful :) What I want to do to make it 100% is beef up the mount. Maybe there is a generic trim ring in the universe to do a neater job than some kind of mushy molding or JB Weld. I need to set the weatherstripping back in place better too.
Anyway, the lantern is installed!

I noticed you listed the SXTH bed step relocation bracket, but I didn't see any pics to confirm you installed it. Curious if you had any issues?

The first bracket I received from SXTH suffered from the not-bent-90-degrees issue, which means the plastic bed step hangs on the ARB recovery point and won't retract. The replacement they sent was actually worse. I called them out on it and had an engineer reply that he would verify the bracket bend and send me a pic when he shipped the third part.

He did send me a pic, but I was skeptical because it still didn't appear to me to be bent at a true 90 degrees. Sure enough, it arrives and it was identical to the first bracket I received. At that point I decided to attempt to modify the best bracket of the lot: I bent the most rearward mount arm on the SXTH bracket and installed the bed step arm with a stainless steel washer between the arm and the SXTH bracket on the inboard forward mount location. Seen from the back this effectively rotated the bed step arm assembly outward and It now has about 4-5 mm of clearance between the plastic bed step and the ARB rear recovery point.

I initially ordered the SXTH bracket on July 1. The SXTH bracket seems to be made well, just not to spec. Regardless, that was my first and last purchase from them.

oh, I have not put that on yet. We ran out of daylight that day and have not gotten back around to it. I’ll let you know how it goes when you have a chance to do the project. Thanks for telling about your experience.
