Following the soon to be released 2024 tacoma very closely and the new improvements , sure not impressed with the shape and puny size of those rear wheel wells , seems a lot of other manufacturers in this segment have covered the 33 to 35 inch tire upgrade with bigger well shaped wheel wells , we’ll see though .

Unfortunatly, we can't see the tire size in the picture.

The 1 photo release thing has already worn off. I noticed this thread took a while for someone to post it, and its not plastered all over every media outlet today like the first release was. I myself, am just not as excited here at week 4 of this. Just show us the damn truck.

Yeah I was watching the same thing to see how quickly it would be posted. you are right, the dragging on seems to be losing interest.

Hmm… it might be time for interior shots. They haven’t shown the rear view mirror yet or better yet a seat headrest!

It has been pointed out elsewhere that:
There's no antisway bar visible in this picture. ON the current truck the link attaches half-way up the knuckle.
There's an adjustment knob on the shock body.
The CV axle looks much longer.

It's been pretty obvious to us since October 2021, that the truck got disc brakes. This stupid teaser is nothing special. Time to turn the tables on them lol.

Toyota USA got uncomfortable when this was posted to one of their social media pages yesterday and actually deleted it off of there!!:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

While keeping this comparatively sh***y rendering up there instead...🤔:

I know that Tacoma4G didn't 100% predict it psychically, from having as a reference, both this December 14, 2021 BEV Concept (both physical, rendering) and then the January 24, 2023 leak of the 2021 patent images.

  • Toyota put out a random cutesy little video of a digitized BEV truck, bombing through desert dunes...
    • It was only then, I knew we had been shown the next generation truck and some of us just didn't know it yet.
      • Toyota peeps knew a lot of people were skeptical of 2024 and opted to confirm it, via early spy shots and then the BEV truck.
      • No manufacturer has done that deliberately before, outside of Ford with the 2013 Atlas.

The artist commissioned by @Administrator to render this, did the absolute best job online, if Toyota is so threatened (LOL) by its accuracy and deletes it from their teaser pages (LMAO).

Nothing outside of Tacoma4G's renderings, have been as dead on. Look at it.

AutoYa was the first to get the exterior right, back in July 2022 before the patent leaks.

Most of the rest have bad proportions:sick: and nowadays, even miss obvious details from the patent images and physical 2021 concept above. Or they borrow heavily off of the 3rd gen.

Car and Driver 2021- First 4G rendering in 2021 and closest one pre-BEV reveal, but they need to give it up now and get a better rendering. It's just outdated insight.

There's no excuse for anything to be so off, when you have the real thing in front of you to work with. I work in automotive design engineering, but I don't have the time and patience to do a rendering.

Those who do have the time, should be more like this forum and not be so off the mark this late in the game, if someone else has already done it just (T4G) and the real thing has been leaked.

Those tires look so small. 31 or 32”. That’s ridiculous. The entire competition is now on 33s, including the ranger Raptor and ZR2, and a few days ago Chevy showed the 2024 Bison version of the ZR2 on 35s which is a world’s first for a mid size truck.

I don’t understand why Toyota deliberately chooses to lag behind in so many areas. Is it that hard to offer a package with the tire size people want, tested and warrantied from the factory with proper wheel clearance and geometry?

I don’t know yet if I am gonna choose a “turn-key” off-road truck or buy a lower trim and build it myself. If the former then it will for sure either be the Ranger Raptor or ZR2 Bison.

There is no doubt that the current gen ranger is ugly and old, and the Taco looks the best of the 3 not to mention its reliability so there is no wondering why it’s the top 1. But that’s changing with the new gen. The new gen ZR2 looks great and has plenty of tech and features, and excellent off road attributes (front and rear lockers, 33/35in tires, DSSV shocks…). The Ranger same, and the Raptor version brings a 400HP V6 on the table.
Reliability has proven to be so-so on the new Tundra, and the new Taco won’t escape the issues of a new gen. So the 2 cards Toyota plays with the current gen (looks and reliability) won’t do much in this battle, especially if it lacks on features.
