Watching and reading reviews, I’m starting to think the Arc Audio Falcon could very well be a one amp solution.

Here me out:
Channels 1-6 tweeters, mids and midbass for the front.
Channel 7-8 rears.
Channels 9-10 & 11-12 bridged to 4 Ω each, powering each VC of a dual VC sub.
Using an AmpPro APH-TY14 to feed it a digital signal with toslink….. sounds almost too good to be true.

Thoughts?

Are you planning on running all new speaker wire through the truck? The door woofers and dash speakers are wired in parallel. So they would use less channels and require inline crossovers unless you plan on running new wire throughout the truck.

I agree with @SpartanCaptain. Unless we are willing to rewire our trucks there are real limits to what we can do with our sound systems.

This is a great thread and I hope some solutions emerge that will let us get decent sound without rewiring the whole truck.

Honestly, I would use the door speaker as a single run, and yes, run my own to the dash and tweeters. It would give me an excuse to really tear into the truck with some deadener and MLV… the MPG killers. I know the doors molex plug style connectors, so no messing about there, but new dash and tweeter wire… no problem.

Just thought, are you talking Base or JBL system runs in parallel?

Both systems have the door and dash in parallel. The JBL adds a tweeter in the pillar that is wired by itself. I just ordered Alpine speakers from trail grid pro and will install them shortly after they arrive. I will double check this once they arrive and I take everything apart. But from everything I have seen online this seems to be the way they are currently wired.

Interesting, thanks for that. A few extra steps then, in order to get where I want. I appreciate the heads-up.

Meh. Zero specs on the amp, except that it’s class GD. Not a bad thing, Helix is GD as well. But a barely functional website with pictures and no specs, and given who’s selling it, I’ll pass, thanks.
