OTT Tune installed yesterday

I received the OTT tune on my 2025 SR5 Tacoma yesterday afternoon from Ryan at Colorado Toyota Tuning in Denver. Ryan was fantastic to work with. Very professional.

There is a pretty noticeable power increase, though it's not as drastic as I'd anticipated. The 2.4L i-FORCE turbocharged 4-cylinder is pretty sporty from the factory, so one shouldn't expect it to change drastically with a tune. I'm actually okay with that. I want to still be able to drive in the snow without spinning all 4 tires all the time.

What I DID notice instantly is the transmission. Taking off from a stop it goes through the gears exactly as I would if I were driving a manual. No gear hunting, no shifting up and down at cruising speeds. It just goes up into the gear it should be in and stays there. However at any time and any speed I can step on the gas and it downshifts one gear and takes off. As others have said, THIS is how this truck should drive.

Definitely a worthy investment and I highly recommend it on a Gen 4 Tacoma. If you've been on the fence about it, I'd say go for it!

You know OTT can give you a cobb access port right? It’s something they offer.

Just got my TRD Pro OTT’ed by Master YOTA LLC (Allen) in NJ last week. Zero regrets. Everyone tells you “you’re gonna love it”… I was cautiously optimistic going into it and not disappointed. Honestly took no time at all to get used too.

Not sure if Allen is on this forum, but major props to his professionalism!

I’m looking into an OTT tune as well. I plan to add a Banks cold air intake and an AWE exhaust. Should I add these things before the tune?
