Now I can't say "never driven offroad" or "never wheeled" 😭 my poor resale value.. anyways

Didn't air down, used 4Lo after the trans temp started to go up once we hit the dirt, which didn't take long. Only did a few thousand feet of dirt, ran out of time to get to the summit. Did the orange line on the OnX map on Maple Spring Road to the first hairpin.

Overall very capable on stock all seasons. I'll be shopping for Trail Terrains in close to the OEM tire size, (245/75/17).

Ran across a lot of friendly trail peeps, lots of 3Gs, motorcycles, one Bronco, and some guys in a Honda Accord LOL

The truck is going to see more dirt in the future, so I've got some aluminum CBI plates on the way (front and rear). Went for aluminum because I mostly wanted the plates as insurance for a rock I didn't see and not so much for sliding on. I can't see myself doing trails much more extreme than this.

Cannot stop laughing at the "Honda Accord" as that was the way I was in high school, off roading my accord. For tires, since the SR wheels are only 7in wide, you'd have to go pizza cutters. I've got my SR 6MT on 33s (255 80r17) Toyo Open country at3's

Yeah they insisted it got up the dirt trail I went on without issue "because its FWD" I guess if you sent it hard enough, sure 😂

Your rig looks great on the beefy tires! I'm a pizza cutter supporter. The science shows when aired down you actually get a more useful contact patch than wider tires.

I bought those TRD OR take offs (pictured above), and I think my next set of tires will be 255/75/17! The BFGs on these wheels are brand new though so it might take a while.

I bought my first truck after I got my accord high centered while off-roading. Had to have a friend sit on the hood to get contact with the ground again. After that I decided to split my passions in two and got a motorcycle and a truck instead of trying to use my accord for things it wasn't built for haha.

I live up in the mountains and the pizza cutters are better at cutting through powdery snow, not to mention they're more aerodynamic and lighter. They also usually have a much higher load rating than wider tires. I'm still getting an average of about 20-21 mpg on standard gas, even on 33s.

I ended up taking off my stock tires right before 5000 miles and sold them to a nice guy for $350 to put on his wife's minivan (glad they got some safe and dependable, lightly used tires for a discount) when I put that towards new tires, that brought the 33s under $1000 and in a place with such varying conditions and road maintenance, it's been well worth it to me. Plus it was a free 1.5" lift

That is good MPG for 33s on these trucks! I saw an MPG hit just going from the stock SR tire size to the TRD OR tire size lol but at the TRD OR tire pressure (door sticker on those says 30 PSI) they are much more comfortable than the SR 245/70/17 at the sticker pressure of 35 cold.

Pizza cutters are definitely the move! And yeah, taller (not wider) tires are the best way to lift!
