Quick backstory, at about 12,000 miles on my Trailhunter I was driving through high altitudes in a heavy rain storm at freeway speeds. I had a sudden loss of power and several error codes. Had a dealer check it out and they couldn’t find anything wrong. That was last November. Everything was fine since then.

Fast forward to now, I’ve added 12,000 more miles. A couple days ago I was driving home. Going about 60mph in perfect weather.. Suddenly got a check engine light and a couple warning codes.

Went straight to the dealer. Two days later and they still haven’t figured out what’s wrong. They say the codes indicate it’s running too rich and the remedy may be to replace all the injectors. They need to also check the mass air sensor and the intake. Waiting for Toyota to give them guidance.

The worrisome part: the service advisor says this may be a problem with ALL ‘24 Trailhunters. And Toyota is looking very closely at the situation.

Personally, I can’t help but wonder if this is snorkel related. I would happily delete that if there was some decent looking solution to cover the hole in the side of my truck.

On the bright side, the service department has been very helpful and Toyota set me up with a rental car.

I also just had a maintenance done last Saturday, which Included an oil change and getting the recall taken care of. I don’t think that is related.

Yeah should be under warranty anyways I wouldn’t worry unless they try pushing something on you but it sounds like your dealer is cool so far

You could buy the front right fender probably, one without fat hole in it. And then have it painted. A costly snorkel delete, but it is possible.

It'll probably be bad MAF from oil on the air filter, it's happened to a few other TH's, haven't read about it happening on the Pro yet

Same thing happened to me. I was higher altitude driving hard uphill in rain. The dash lit up like a Christmas tree and pulled over to limp it to a dealership. The issue was air filter oil getting all over the MAF sensor and causing issues. Dealership replaced the MAF and I've since purchased a Stillen intake with a dry filter. Should fix the problem and doesn't sound like a shop vac is running outside my passenger window anymore. I kept the snorkel but it's no longer connected.

Just spitballin but maybe a tune like the OTT tune would help? Other than that an air box swap if thats causing the issues and just leave the snorkel for "looks"
