Any noticeable or seat of your pants difference with the very expensive new boldly branded air box? Msrp + 8% tax for everything listed is like 812 bucks, so curious to know if it makes a difference.

There are some videos on YouTube that show how to remove the air intake. This assembly is simple as well. Here are some other angles

Dang! That’s pricy! Another dealer nearby had theirs discounted so total parts before tax was $563.
I have noticed it gets up to speed a lot smoother and I have seen about a +2 or 3 mpg improvement. It’s a lot pricier than the k&n air intake but I’m a sucker for OEM and filter on this one is washable as well so I went with that.
With all that I will say I have not noticed a change in sound with this air intake but I have the center pipe and trd exhaust so it sounds great as is.

Appreciate it. Only problem is I can’t install it because I don’t have the filter it failed to show up. Idk how it even looks since the site has no updated information.

I got the Trd exhaust installed from factory is their a difference to the center pipe? Or is that just part of the exhaust. The dealer still doesn’t have photos for me to see.

the filter is circular and is washable. Hope it shows up! The components go together like the standard one, it just looks and performs better.

It’s different. A bit larger to allow more air flow.

I found your thread while looking up part numbers. 4 of the 5 items are available with a discount from autoparts.toyotaofdecatur.com
It's the filter that isn't listed on their site, so I ordered those at parts.americantoyota.com

Hope it's all legit and the lead time won't be too long.

Can anyone that has bought the parts break out what is included with each component? I have the trailhinter airbox that is the same, but uses the port that routes through the high mount intake. This intake from the PRO has that red plug that plugs this port and has the red tube and the intake portion that connects at the front under the hood. I need those pieces and trying to determine how to get them/which components cover them...

I have all the parts except for the air filter, but I can confirm the TRD intake has a red boot that routes air from the fender into the airbox. The difference with the trail hunter intake is that the TRD doesn't connect to the high mount intake tubing, because it's not included. The TRD intake looks like it would also mount to the snorkel tubing if equipped.

The Part ID for this connection is PTR03-35241-AE.
The Red intake pipe from the airbox to the throttle body is PTR03-35241-AB

It seems the TRD Intake uses the same intake path as the other factory intake, but then adds a port to pull from the fender as well.
The Trailhunter intake then includes the snorkel system.
