RB10 Slim boards? Best Sleek/Slim boards / sliders with steps

Need a set of sliders with steps or slim boards anyone have pics of the RB10 slim , for some reason the rb20 slim seems in some pics to be flush and some to have a gap.
Not sure how big the OEM TRD aluminum ones are but boy they’re expensive

the trumgeta 5” seem nice but cheap and no pictures.

need some protection for the truck lots of bad roads in my area gravel dirt etc

noticed the Fab Four rock sliders with steps look exactly like what I’m looking for but $1500 is ridiculous

I have the RB20 slims and there is definitely a gap. The RB10s seem to use the same mount so there is likely a gap there too.

The first thing you need to decide is do you want steps or rock sliders? Rock sliders can act as steps but if you try to make your steps into rock sliders, you're in for a bad time. There's a reason actual sliders are expensive.

The RB20 slims do an OK job of keeping rocks from chipping the rear panel. The biggest improvement I made though was a set of the ARK mudflaps. I went with the full size. Do they look cool? No, but they do keep the truck protected.

I will never buy anything from Trumgeta. There was a post a while back on here about them not warrantying anything bought from their official Amazon store that they kept replying to and making themselves look worse and worse. It got deleted because they're a sponsor.

Rock Sliders are designed to take the full weight of the truck on the slider so they're much more solidly built, that's why they're more expensive. You can use a good rock slider as a jack point for the truck.

Steps/Running Boards are just that. They're designed to be used to get into the truck. They're much more flimsy and generally designed where they cannot support the weight of the truck. The mounts tend to have more protrusions and such that would actually get stuck on a rock. Running boards generally do an ok job of preventing door dings and such, you just don't want to get into a situation where the full weight of the truck is on them.

You really only need actual rock sliders if you're rock crawling. It sounds like you're looking at just steps/running boards.

Yes that sounds about right but I generally hate the gap that steps have and noticed the slides seem flush and tight . Fab 4 makes a rock slider with steps that retails around 1400 that is offered by toyota now that might be the best bet for me. Hate the price though

RB 20 slims on my LB. Not quite long enough but has kept debris from chipping up lower panels. The gap between the rocker panel is small. I have some RCI's ordered to replace these.
