Good afternoon folks!
I am getting my Alu-Cab Contour installed next week on my 24 TH, and I am interested in relocating (installing an additional) rear facing camera (NOT BED CAMERA).
I have a game plan, let me know ya'lls thoughts.
Instead of actually relocating the rear facing camera, I am planning on purchasing an additional rear OEM camera and installing it with the GGOffroad Camera relocation kit. Here's where it gets tricky; I want to have the option of switching between the original camera and the relocated camera easily w/o having to remove the headliner to access the wiring. I was thinking, is it possible to create some kind of junction under the rear passenger seat where I can manually unplug the OEM camera wiring and plug in the new camera wiring (depending on if I have the bed canopy installed). One of the main reasons I'd like to purchase an add'l camera instead of removing, is to keep the chance of leaking/reinstalling to a minimum.
I have drawn a picture of my concept below. Please excuse my extreme lack of artistic ability.
