I have all my meso lights set to red for hunting season. Will change them back to white after season ends. I also installed the extra set of the door courtesy lights in the footwells so everything would match

That’s perfect. I have all the mesos too. I didn’t know I could use the extra courtesy lights. Thank you.

All you need to do is remove the upper panel and just cut a hole for the meso light.. plugs into the factory plug

Agreed, brilliant and so creative. This idea is gonna catch on like wildfire lol. I may do this but hang the lights with Velcro if I can so I can avoid cutting. But will cut if I need to.

What kind of cutting tool did you use? I’ve got a cutting task on the interior plastics although more sturdy piece.

I've had the best luck with a metal straight-edge, regular old pencil, metal scribe, and then a utility knife with a new blade.

Mark out the cut with the straight-edge and pencil.

Go over the pencil line with the scribe and metal straight-edge to get a deep line.

Repeat with the straight-edge and utility knife, using gentle to moderate pressure and multiple passes. The prior scribe line will keep the utility knife cut straight - without it, the cut will be harder to keep perfectly straight.

This results in a much cleaner cut than a Dremel or oscillating tool. But it only works on softer plastic, like that used for interior parts. Or UHMW/HDPE.

For hard plastics like Delrin, a saw or oscillating tool is needed.

Dammit... I've been holding off on the Meso lights, but this has probably changed my mind. It looks so badass.

Just to confirm...

Did you order an extra set? Or did they come with an extra set?

Just a straight edge and utility knife. Holes don’t have to be perfect. Just keep fitting the light till ya get it to snap in. Plug and play after that

When you purchase the courtesy lights they send you 4 so if you use the two in the doors just stick the other 2 in the footwells
