I would still apply it to prevent further scratches. These plastic are very soft and will scratch easy. It will also help when you clean it as well. I would just use a microfiber cloth damped with water and wipe it clean afterwards

When I got my 2024 Toyota Tacoma off-road, the gauge screen was already scratched as f*#k… I couldn’t believe it. I thought maybe there was a screen protector on there that I had to peel off like when you buy a new phone or screen or something. Is it worth buying one of these to put over and already scratch screen and how do I clean it to put the screen protector on without scratching it further?
My vote: YES. I recently put Screen ProTech on my three year-old Integra that was scratched to shit despite attempting to baby the driver’s instrumentation screen. Screen ProTech hid and ā€œcuredā€ those scratches. We did our Subaru instrumentation, Infotainment, and piano black plastics, all are looking fresh.

We used HD in the Integra all around and Anti-Glare in the Subaru because of the angle the sun hits the Subie’s Infotainment. Used HD in the Tacoma. I’m satisfied all around.

I always try and get a screen protector when I get a new car, and I also highly recommend anything anti-glare! I was on the fence before but they really make a big difference.

100% agree. I had the guys who did my PPF do the install. Not sure I would trust any Chinese brand from Amazon.

I ordered this kit and applied everything except my 14ā€ infotainment screen. I purchased a $15 hard matte screen protector on amazon and it’s a lot better than protech flimsy screen vinyl.
Agree, on my momā€˜s new Lexus we had the OEM glass screen protector on the 14ā€ infotainment screen. It looks great and functions so well. When I get the Screen ProTech kit for her car, I will just put it on the driver’s instrumentation crappo plastic.
