Small RPM bounce while cruising.

So, I have started to notice that while driving at around 45mph, and at or a little above 1500rpm, there is a noticeable surge feeling/hesitation, and the rpm hand bounces up and down a bit. I'll try and get a video and post it here. Its more prevalent while going up a hill. Just wanted to make a post to see if anyone else has experienced this.

Ever driven stick shift?
If so, would you describe it as a mild lugging sensation? Or different?

2024 non-hybrid here. I've noticed this with mine a handful of times.... Only during some really low speed cruising down neighborhood streets and such.... I typically just give it a little more throttle if I'm able and it goes away. I'm just chalking it up to computer/OEM tune weirdness.... don't even really care too much anymore.

My late-model motorcycle acts similarly at really low speed cruising, so I believe it's just a symptom of modern emissions programming, even though it sucks and is annoying.

Ever driven stick shift?
If so, would you describe it as a Mike lugging sensation? Or different?

My 3rd gen was a stick. I would describe it as the trans is slipping or an engine misfire. Like it's trying to shift but doesn't know if it needs to or not. No CEL though. I wonder if it could be the torque converter?

My truck falls under the TSB for the transmission. Any chance yours does as well? I had noticed the issue a few times when I first got the truck new but figured the transmission was just learning. I got 22k on it now and it does it often on my way to work and back home.

Pay attention and share back exactly what combination of mph/kph + rpm appears to trigger it. Also what octane fuel your using.

If you run 89 octane or 87 octane, see if the intensity and mpg range changes (rpm range will be the same)

No... mine doesn't fall into the TSB, thankfully. No issues otherwise and this RPM bounce seems to rarely occur and always goes away with just the tiniest bit more throttle, which leads me to think that it's just weirdness from the computer/stock tuning. Mine has been on 91 octane non-ethanol fuel since it was new.

Like I said, I've got a late model bike that does almost the exact same thing at really low speed cruising and I know for a fact with that engine that it is due to excessively lean stock tuning. I would not be surprised at all if it's something similar going on with these trucks since they're trying to squeeze every MPG possible from this engine.

I just drive with a heavier foot and it seems to like it.
