I think for the 4th gen 33’s or even 34” is the perfect fit for no trimming or rubbing.
With that said the 35” and 37” looks badass.

but… you will suffer with turn radius, mpg significantly and ride quality. If you’re able to stomach that then you’re golden.
If the truck is a recreational vehicle no biggie! If it’s your daily, then you’re going to hate it eventually. That’s my opinion.

Here’s mine. 2025 TRD off-road premium with the factory lift. I did 285 70 17 Ridge grapplers. Rides nice, getting 21 mpg living in central az.

To your point, 33s are super practical and comfortable for daily driving — I may bump up to 34s if I can fit without issue

I have 34's without a lift, 35x11.5 fit without a lift, 35x12.5 fit with little effort. With the factory 2.5" Lift you could easily fit 35's. Id still do 11.50's personally.

But for both you remove the crash plates right

I think 33 or 34 is the sweet spot for our trucks. Anything bigger and it’s more of a specialty truck specific for trails or rock crawling. With 35”+ you suffer a lot on mpg and turn radius along with ride quality for everyday use.

Stupid question - does turning radius suffer more from width or diameter

Yeah I love the 34's. Still get 18-19mpg.

I have 33” and no trimming or crash plate removal. I wouldn’t think 34” would require it either. Maybe if at full flex.

I got the same tires - one side sits a little closer to the crash pad- I think a super minor castor adjustment and I’d be good for 34s
