Sound Deadening and the most beneficial spots to target

@Drifte Just looking at the TacoTunes site, kind of getting a rough idea about cost for my upgrade. Anyways, in the site it stated you need to apply spacers to the seat to get the TT box to fit. Is that true? If so, how big a spacer? And finally, how much rear seat space do you lose? Thanks.

Its about a 1" spacer. Its unfortunate to lose space in the already small back seat area, but Its not noticable and I still had 2 6ft tall coworkers back there without any issue.

...And the closed cell foam... does that make a significant difference on top of the deadening mat???

Im not sure why my sub came with the red port. The white foam, is actually factory so I just put it back on. It cant hurt, but I have my doubts it does anything noticable.

The truck is definitely quiet. And with the added sub I have the head unit bass at zero so turning the gain down on the sub the audio isnt strained and perfect for a podcast. Back to music, turn the gain up and bass is plentiful.

Oh, I used the multi-layer deadener. It does make a difference with road noise, engine noise and seems to best benefit the door speakers.

Ahhhh.... no I hadn't noticed that it was an aftermarket sub! thought it was the factory JBL unit.
