Sound Deadening Kit Effectiveness

So I’ve been going through some of the forums in here and I have seen some owners report a buzzing sound in the door. Has anyone installed a sound deadening kit for buzzy doors and has that worked for you in reducing the buzz?

My truck doors don't buzz. I've got the hood deadener in the Premium package in my OR. It's dead quiet.

I would think that would be the direction to go unless your doors make noise.

I think it depends on the source of the buzz. I have not seen many people post about this, so it might be something on just your truck that the dealer can fix.

Sound deadener is a great upgrade. I buy it online and cut it out myself, which saves a good bit of money. The first truck I used this on was my 2nd gen Taco and it made a lot of difference in how quiet it was. The hardest part of that job is removing the interior bits so you can install that, which can take some time and be a PITA. I did it when I had my interior opened up to upgrade the sound system.

I get a little buzz from the passenger door panel with the music turned up. Now I do sound deaden most of my vehicles but in this case the buzz is from the plastic panels joining together. I buy a box of sound deadener and a roll of 157mil dampening mat. I install a couple pieces on the door skin, most specifically behind the speaker. It doesnt take much to get rid of the ring, and it improves the sound from the speakers. That kit above almost looks like they want you to install it on the inner door skin, which I cant see a benefit from.

A little off topic, but these foam rings around your speakers seem to help with midbass, overall getting the sound directed out of the door panel. Probably a slight improvement to rattles etc. Have a pic of them on the rav and the vette here:

The buzzing sound is coming from the rear door behind my driver side door under slight acceleration. It’s not constant it happens as I creep up to 30-40 mph. Anything over that the sound goes away….

@Drifte I may look into this, as the buzzing sound on my truck is on my rear driver side as I accelerate between 30 mph and 40mph. Anything over that the buzzing goes away.

Being connected with speed makes me think it's wind noise maybe? Some of the higher trims have a rubber flap on the front edge of the rear-door for this reason, which sounds like the same area you're hearing from.

I added extra coverage behind the rear panels and under the rear seats using https://resonixsoundsolutions.com/p...-sound-absorbing-thermal-insulation-material/ and noticed a big difference in road and exhaust noise. It blends well with other materials I already had in place and doesn’t hold moisture. If you're planning to get rid of more mid/high-frequency noise, especially from the back of the cab, this stuff made the biggest impact for me.
