I guess foam 7mm could stretch 1mm or I could find 8mm washers some time, thank you for your work
I searched a little on Amazon and didn’t have much luck. Searching “foam washers” mostly brings up these metal or plastic discs that are used with foam. It’s not that much of a difference so I think they might work.

Even with getting 100, you could always double them up if they aren’t thick enough too, I’ll give these a try in a month or so

I was having a very annoying rattle above about 30 mph coming from the front and at times both sides, sometimes alternating sides! It started about 2-3 months ago at about 15,000 miles. I tore through damn near the entire front end trying to find it! Ended up being the engine splash guards in the wheel wells! I tapped them with my finger and they made the annoying rattle. I’m assuming the wind above 30 mph must have been causing them to start flopping and making the noise? The fix was simple, just remove them and put 2 layers of electrical tape over the holes that they attach to, then cut an X in the hole so the push pins can slip in to make a snug fit. There are 2 on each side, wasn’t certain which ones were the problem so I completely removed them and taped every hole.
Thank you @MT-Taco, this rattle developed for me as well and I was sure it was coming from around the dash speaker area. Sure enough I checked those flaps and they were loose - added some electrical tape on the fastener holes and fixed it right up!
