This is something that could keep junk out of the crash bar area. Jeff Westcott did a video on a 4Runner 6th gen where he had removed the crash bar and ice and snow got up in there and started making noise. I think these came out about the same time so I ordered a set. Fits perfectly and apparently does the job. I’ve had no issues. Your truck looks great.
Question in regards to your suspension. I’m looking to upgrade mine. How does it do on regular roads (asphalt) that is rough or nearing the end of its life cycle? That seems to be all we have around here. The trd off-road is great but when you drive twenty plus miles on terrible roads in any vehicle it’ll beat you up.
Also this past weekend I had the opportunity to get lost (literally) on part of the Trans American Trail in the Appalachians . Mainly because I had no signal thus no directions. I probably traveled 20-30 miles or more on a hewn out mountain road that consisted of mostly rock some dirt, gravel, mud, but mostly rock and by the time I got off of it I was sincerely concerned for my suspension. That was going at around 4-5 mph. Do you know or feel that your suspension could hold up to that kind of thing?
I need something that will without breaking the bank. Around $3,000.00 Any suggestions?
