260# is static, or the vehicle stationary; 165# is dynamic or while vehicle is moving. HTH!Tungstenisw Congrats... Trumgeta, question for you, On the cross bars that swivel out https://www.trumgeta.com/products/roof-rack-cross-bars-kit-for-2024-2025-toyota-tacoma-double-cab It says capacity 260 lbs and then also 165 lbs dynamic. I would like to mount a large ski box up there on it at times and don't want the wind to shear the rails off the vehicle. Are these two racks similar in capacity and can they hold a skibox that has wind lifting on it?
Sorry but I don't think I can advise on this, I won the crossbars but I actually don't work for the company. I do believe the 260 lb is static or non-moving, whereas 165 lb would be the max weight while the vehicle's in motion. Hopefully this helps you out. I do like the product and I wouldn't hesitate buying it.Tungstenisw Congrats...
