I may have went a different route than most people. For suspension I went with the Eibach Stage 2R with the Eibach HD rear springs. I currently have it adjusted so that the there is still a slight rake. Now for the wheels and tires I went with 20x10 -18mm Fuel Hammers in Chrome with LT275/55R20 Nitto Ridge Grapplers. For the most part there is no rubbing unless I’m in reverse at full crank while the wheels are articulated. I didn’t trim anything or remove the front crash bracket so with how little it rubs, I’ll live with that. In terms of ride and how quiet it drives, I find that the Eibachs seem the ride smoother than the stock Bilsteins and no longer does it feel like it bottoms out everytime I go over a speed bump, plus I no longer have to worry about the front shock bump stop issue some people were having. The tires I find to be fairly quiet for how aggressive they are and ride very smooth on the road while having better traction in the mud compared to the stock BFGoodrich’s. Funny enough with how wide the wheels are I don’t seem to feel any difference in the turning radius and don’t seem to be getting anymore rock chips than I was getting with the stock wheels.

Nice! Looks tight! I was 50/50 on colour between Blue Crush and Solar Octane when I bought and went with Solar Octane at the last minute.
Are your roof racks Toyota ones and do they sit higher than the shark fin?

I saw the fitment of your new wheels / tires, thought you had to be Hawaiian, and scrolled up to confirm... yup. I've only been for work a few times but I saw a good amount of Tacomas set up with this unique kind of look when driving to zippys and foodland. Work is work but at least the food was good.

These are the Trumgeta ones, I still don’t understand why Toyota didn’t make these for the 4th gens. These are super common in HawaiI on 2nd, 3rd, and now 4th gens, I see more of these ones on the 4th gen than the OEM Toyota roof rack. These sit pretty level with the shark fin antenna.

This is pretty tame for a HawaiI Tacoma. Most Hawaii Tacomas have a minimum 6 inch lift and 22x12 wheels. I think the Big Island was the first place to install a 12 inch lift on the 4th Gen and I think I’ve even seen 24x14’s on one already. There was even one with 16x18 Weld’s on 33ā€ Swamper tires.

I did not get to see those during my time there; most of the ones I saw were more tame towards your end of the spectrum HOWEVER there is not a lot you can see from the inside of the server room so I'll keep an eye out when I end up there for leisure one day.

Nice! Looks good man. I'm not one for chrome wheels, but ngl they look good on Blue Crush. I've been contemplating upgrading to Eibach's stage 2R. Glad to hear the ride is smoother because I definitely feel the Bilstein's compressing over relatively easy bumps on the road. Saw they were sold out... How long did eibach take to get those over to ya?

Most of those crazy builds happened pretty recently. More of those builds should start appearing now that the aftermarket is catching up. Sometimes those builds are undercover though, if you see a really lifted Toyota but it has stock wheels with small tires, then they are probably going for their Safety Check.

Had to do something different than the usual Black or Bronze wheels. Blue and Chrome just seems to always work together. I got the Eibachā€˜s from MJ Motorsports, they always keep a bunch in stock as its their best selling Lift Kits.
