You had to trim beyond just removing the crash pad? Lots of folks fit 35s just removing that 3 bolt piece and trimming some felt. I wonder what the difference is here. Asking because I like this specific AT4Ws which are a true 34
Unlike the Pro/TH fenders. These roughcountry ones stay thick all the way down. I could have 35s easy with 40 offset. Or maybe 35x10.5 with 22ish offset. But 11.5 tires and 0 offset has me hitting outside the strike plate area.

From what I've inspected and researched it's the cv axles popping and out of their place.

Have you taken it to the dealer ?
Not yet because all the dealers around me are utterly worthless. When I bring it in for the 10K mile service in a couple thousand miles I will.

I’ll ask them to check the CV axles - thanks for the tip

Also have a pedal commander on the way. https://theyotagarage.com/

Well you've had enough time to enjoy that pedal commander.
How do you like it and is it a big difference using that compared to Sport Mode built into the Tacoma?
Have you compared it to an OTT tune?(I just learned of it a few moments ago. )
Almost feel like turning that dial to Sport Mode makes a big difference in the truck and not so sure I really want anything else. I do like performance though, but I'd like it without having to use premium gas.

Pedal commander got delayed and cancelled when I initially ordered. That turned out to be great luck. I now have the OTT tune and it included increased throttle sensitivity. It feels like it’s always sport mode now and more fun to drive.

Does it change boost pressure etc - assuming it does

Thank you for that. I'm ready to get the OTT tune. I'll probably do it either this week or next.
Have you noticed a difference in fuel economy? I've been using sport mode a lot and I'm getting an average of 14.1 mixed driving.
Kind of funny, I use it like shifting gears in a manual.

Yes, boost pressure targets are adjusted among many other things.

If you don't "hot-rod" it everywhere you drive you should notice very little-no change at all in economy.

Hope you got the tune. It’s worth it. Just added a SXTH intake and it sounds so good.

Updating the build

Done:
15% Ceramic window tint all around
Satin black roof/pillar/mirror wrap
front end PPF
285/70/R17 Falken Wildpeak At4W
285/75/R17 Falken Wildpeak AT4W C Rated
King front/rear shock kit
Icon UCAs
Rave offroad black wheel trim on one side of vehicle cause thats a PITA
17x8.5 Matte Black Wheel RRW RR7-H Flow Form 6x5.5 0
Triplealiners interior floor mats
Plastidip front emblem
King rear sway bar end links
Spray paint that big ol exhaust tip black - Switched for a dump tip from ATH
Rough Country color matched sport fenders took these off because they took away from clearance and added Rokbloks high clearance flaps. These are perfect for coverage on wider setups. May adapt fenders later but could only use due to mounting.
Rough Country rear shackle kit
Rear seat delete/storage setup
DV8 Offroad Centric Front Bumper with - DV8 Winch, 3" Ambers and 20" Spot
Diamondback HD
Boundry Truck Rack

so I had found a really low pro bedside but it fell through due to vendor. With most bedsides at 5ā€ high there just wasn’t enough clearance for gear. I bit the bullet and added:
Smartcap Adventure
Decked drawer
Decked 1500 slide on top

With all the weight this truck was looking dumpy in the rear. Got the :
Icon rear overland +600 .5ā€ coils
Sits perfectly .5ā€ higher in rear and didn’t look too bad even with a 8000# dump trailer.

I also added the Keko bed dust seal kit. Worked perfect with the DB and so far good with cap. Most of the dust gets in on the sides of the tailgate.

Need to install all of my Meso lights and get my bed geared up. The slide takes a lot of room but is really heavy duty and still has more room above it in the cap than I had under the diamondback with no slide.

I have full truck and smartcap racks coming from UpTop overland with their LED side lights. This thing is gonna be a tank.

Great build! Also like the color scheme. Almost went that route over the Bronze.
