Tonneau cover choices that go with bike hauling

Hello, I am looking to buy a tonneau cover, not sure if I should get a hard trifold or a soft roll up or what have you.
I have a 5 ft bed, and would like to get the pad that goes off the tailgate to sling a bike tire over the bed to fit multiple bikes.
If I do the bike pad, is there a specific kind of tonneau cover I should get? I'd like to be able to partially close the bed and have the bike off the gate at the same time.
Does anyone have specific recommendations for a tonneau cover and a bike bed pad>

Look up retractable covers if you're okay with the canister. My Roll-n-Lock has stop points in 3 different positions (closed, 1/3, 2/3, full open). That way you could partially close and lock it from movement for anything else you might put in the behind the bikes.

I had some of the same goals and ended up with a retractable tonneau. I reviewed it in this thread.

Looks perfect, I'd probably take this on and off the truck seasonally right? Doesn't make sense to leave it on all winter
