Does anyone here ever take the Toyota Owners' Intersection surveys? I always take a few minutes and fill them out. The one today was asking for opinions on future OEM accessories including some carbon fiber pieces, a 5-link rear suspension, and a rear Torsen limited slip differential.

I personally don't have any interest in the carbon fiber pieces, and little-if-any interest in the rear suspension and diff, but it's still interesting to get some insight into what Toyota is trying to cook up for future models.

I'm honestly a little more intrigued by the round fog lights in the mockup photos they included... 🤔

My survey was a little different. It was an onboard air compressor like what comes on halo trucks, although it didn't mention a brand like ARB. It also had a storage tray that sat in the box (as wide as the box and about 20" deep)but could slide out onto the tailgate when it was down. I usually fill them out too.

Mine had a front locker dealer installed add on!!? Yes please Toyota!

I got the 5 Link as well and different fender flares, "Halo trim width" with the standard TRD OR texture just wider for all trucks, they looked similar to what Nytop and Rough country make though.

Why is everything camo? After 5 years active duty Army I have absolutely 0 interest in anything camo. To me camo is like door to door sales people. No matter how good the product is, it's an automatic "no" from me.
Ditto. While the flares are interesting, I said no due to the camo.

Just remembered that they asked about converting to full time 4wd for $900. I would absolutely get the front locker.

Similar survey. They proposed $1k for the compressor and I’m like nope! The box is almost identical to the LastBoks I got. I have a tonneau cover and honestly it’s one of the best accessories I’ve gotten for the truck since I bought it. Looks like it’s on sale for now on Amazon https://amzn.to/3GfLemQ

Hmm , maybe toyota is thinking of a new high end model, They have the Pro, and Trailhunter , maybe they will come out with a “BAJA “ edition, ? I have a felling the are going change tacoma models soon, i was talking to my service writer recently and he said he wouldnt be surprised if we see the “sport model “ replaced

Personally, I wouldn't mind the camo flares...it would match the carbon fiber hood that I might install someday. After spending $4K on a partial front PPF; a rock projectile was still able to pierce the PPF and dent the hood. I always wondered why they weren't offered for the Tacos but clearly they're standard on the TRD Pro Tundra. (Wait-a -tick, that's not offered on the Halo models? Then, I hate it! :surprised:)

The 5-Link rear suspension kit looks promising. Cosmetically, it would match the red upper control arms on the Pro. I believe I saw something similar on an EV Tundra (painted in baby blue) in one of Chole Kuo's recent review for the Wave Maker Taco at Toyota HQ.

The round fog lights reminds me of a concept vehicle Toyota might push out in the near future called TRD ProRunner as shown in SEMA 2024. I believe CarandDriver did an article about it. A true 2Dr TRD Pro that utilizes the IsoDynamic seats to the fullest as well as a whole bunch of other goodies.

To me the fender flares look less like camo and more like forged carbon fiber, albeit faux fiber. My survey also mentioned rear bumper protectors that mount to the bottom of the rear bumper corners.
