Toyota actually removed one of the coolest features from the Tacoma…

👉 The heads-up display.

The 2024 Trailhunter had it.
2025? Gone.

If you’ve ever used a HUD, you already know — once you have it, you don’t want to go back.

So I added it back.

Plug-and-play. Works on any Tacoma. And honestly… it makes the truck feel way more premium.

Would you run a HUD in your Tacoma?

That seems like it's worth trying out, although I don't love the added reflector to the windshield or the need to keep it plugged into my OBD2 port. But with your discount code it's too tempting not to try. I've had HUD envy for a long time.

It is in our 2024 Limited but neither of us ever look @ it, and I can't understand why I would need it with so much dash we have today.

Maybe, if it was my primary and not the wifes.... 🤔

See I am the complete opposite. I had heads up display in 2 of my previous vehicles because the trim I bought for other features had it, and I hated it. I always turned it off. So it not being in my truck is actually a relief.

My Lexus has a HUD, which is one of the reasons I chose the Limited. After living with the truck for a year, I find the primary display can feel like too much at times; there are too many colors and symbols. Don’t get me wrong, I love tech, like the HUD, and the information it provides. But I feel Toyota could have done a better job with the Tacoma.

I looked at where it would be on my drive this morning. I think I would like it vs looking down at the dash. I'm also curious about connectivity on other vehicles too, while understanding that the speaker grill mounting is specific to the Toyotas.

I gladly would have traded the sun roof, power sliding rear window, and electric parking brake for a HUD.

I think the HUD is niche thing. I have it on my 24 trailhunter and I barely looked it. So I turned it off.

Also it caused a reflection on my windshield especially during summer days. I ended up getting a dash matt and solved my reflection issue.

To each their own just giving my experience. Take care everyone 😇
