Just over $57k.
That is a good discount. I ended up with a 2024 Premium Hybrid $58,098.00 ($49,500 with dealer fee) which is an awesome truck and got $9,118 off MSRP, no add ons and a $500 credit from Toyota for hassle of waiting a month to square away a non-issue with the truck. I was offered a 2025 but they would not budge off $5k off, most dealers were at $3,700 off.

Oh shit that’s a crazy great deal. Congrats! How awesome is the truck? I’m in love with mine lol. Can’t wait to throw a Westcott pre collar lift, wheels and possibly 35’s. Still deciding if I wanna do 34’s or 35’s. Real world problems lol.

I spent along time researching and contacting dealers and it paid off. Compared to other trucks and there is no comparison. Hybrid is so smooth and powerful. This is a great truck and no regrets. Premium and Hybrid worth every penny, in my opinion.

This holds true with so many things. It amazes me how people will get " sold" a house, vehicle, hot tub etc. Lot of money to get talked into or out of. Smart move on your part.

Since I love the truck so much, I decided to finance it. Screw leasing. Wound up getting $5500 off MSRP and an extra 4 years bumper-to-bumper warranty. OTD was $57.5k. For the down payment, I used 8k equity from my 3-year Honda Civic lease and added an additional 5k out of pocket. $700 monthly payment.
That's a good deal. You most certainly did NOT get $5500 off MSRP. They toyed with your downpayment. Was it brand new? Even used, you wouldn't get that much off MSRP. They definitely moved things around to appear like you got that off the top. Remember though you clearly put a a ton done when you purchased your Civic giving you equity plus several thousand down, on top of that $8,000.

Toyota doesn't mark up its vehicles like American-made vehicles. There are two invoices. The dealer's invoice, which pays them for taking the risk of literally borrowing and paying for the flooring while they wait for their vehicles to sell, is the one they show customers. Either way, unless you put a boatload down on your civic, you didn't get that 8k of equity for trade-in because you'll be lucky to get 2,000-2800 off sticker on a Tacoma. So you paid for it somewhere prior with your down payments, and they moved the number. Even if decked out with accessories for markup, you wouldn't get $5500 off the top. Either way, you got a good deal, man. Enjoy it!

If you can get $5,000 off MSRP before any nonsense add-on, you will have done good. The dealer fee is steep but they probably won’t budge. I shopped for many months and found you can do much better on a 2024 leftover with 12 miles. I bought a 2024 Hybrid with Premium built 12/2024 with Bed liner and skid and got a ridiculous $9,118 and $500 from Toyota due to a delay in delivery but I worked to get it. $495 dealer fee and they included a 10 year/150K warranty on engine and drivetrain with no deductible. The same dealer offered a 2025 for $5K off and said that was a normal discount, no special deal So you are close. I would hit them at $6K off.
You most certainly did not get 5k off your Tacoma. What package, man? Even then, the markups not there. Unless you had accessories and also bought some crazy warranty, oil changes etc. which are all 100 percent a rip. It's interesting to me to see how many people are claiming they got off the top MSRP. To many details are missing. You could get the most loaded package at invoice and MAYBE get 2700-2900 off, which is the markup from the second invoice for customers. I have worked at Toyota for years as a finance manager. I know quite a bit about raw costs.

Ryjarc, I don’t see any reason not to believe him. Personally I got over 6k off one mid spec trd OR with msrp of 49.6xx.00 buying for 43,599.00 and 7109 off my current 55,109.00 for 48 even with no add on’s. Another member here did even better, like 9k off. The deals are out there no matter what you believe.

I can tell you I got $9,118.00 off MSRP (Original Sticker) Hybrid Premium with no add-ons except bedliner and skid plate, floor mats, all on the original MSRP. The dealer most definitely gets a holdback and the longer the truck sits or left over, the more room in the truck. I was very surprised when the dealer gave me this deal. I paid a $495 doc fee. No trade. No Warranty and no protection plane. While I was shopping around and saw $3,500 everywhere and $7K from another local dealer in NH. All the MA dealers told me that I could never see more than $3,500 off. I was persistent and not in a rush. I will try and share the P&S and sticker if I can redact the personal info if anyone is interested.

I could have gotten a 2024 TRD OR hybrid with upgrade package, 14" screen, moonroof, etc for almost $11k off MSRP. I really wanted to pull the trigger, but I just couldn't convince myself to buy one without MTM. There are great deals out there if you're willing to be flexible on color/options.

Hey what’s up man. I actually didn’t put any money down on the Civic since it was a lease and I negotiated the OTD price of the brand new 25 Tacoma before I even discussed whether I was going to lease/finance and put any money down.
Thank man, appreciate it. Yea I love the truck. I’ll be posting pics soon.
