There are five blank switch positions on my console and a few on the dash. I want to add some off-road lights on the grill and A few other electrical items. Is there a general approach to removing covers and putting active rocker switches in those positions to control add-on accessories?

I like my Diode kit but they could have at least sent an aux button cut out for the rocker, can't put a circle in a square guys.. lol either way my setup works for me ?

For my ditch lights, I bought a (blue light while on) push switch from Cali Raised. You pull the covers with a plastic spud. I think they've got a video showing how it's done.

The piece that houses the center console switches just pulls loose if you start in the lower right hand corner.
This video shows it well:

SwitchBoss.com.au has switches that light up white if you don't like the CaliRaised blue version, but shipping from Australia stings a little. Maybe somebody knows of another option?

Here’s a reply you can post directly in that Tacoma4G thread:

Yes, we’ve got all our OEM-style switch replacements for the 2025 Tacoma available here:
? Square Switches – Cali Raised LED

They’re plug-and-play with factory-style fitment and labeled options for light bars, bed lights, compressors, and more. Perfect if you’re looking to fill that blank slot with something useful that looks OEM.

Here’s a quick install video that walks through how to pop out the blank and wire up the switch:
? How to Install a Square Switch – YouTube

Let me know if you want help choosing the right switch for your setup.

Removing the panel to access the aux switchboard is super simple. Use a trim tool to pop the panel to provide access. Pinch the clips behind the blank and push it forward and it'll pop right out to accommodate for OEM style switches. CaliRaised is the easiest and fastest option, but the Aussie company mentioned above provides white backlighting in their switches, which looks even more factory than the CaliRaised options. I'd recommend checking some of CaliRaised's Youtube videos for some visual instruction on popping the panel, those dudes are very helpful.

I'm sure there's better ways to snake your wiring through the engine firewall, but you'll do just fine with a wire hanger from the laundromat.
