And did your rattle sound like it was coming from the front of the door or B pillar? Mine sounds like it’s coming from between the window and b pillar

Yeah, they’re a little tricky to get to. You’ll need a trim removal tool.Thanks. Will try today. I assume the holes in the piece you removed are the little push pins where you push in the middle and the pin pulls straight out?
Yes. Mine sounded like a little plastic piece was rattling against the area circled. And did your rattle sound like it was coming from the front of the door or B pillar? Mine sounds like it’s coming from between the window and b pillar
That’s wild! How a rattle created in front of the door can sound like it’s next to the driver. I’ll check it out and report back. Appreciate your help!!Yes. Mine sounded like a little plastic piece was rattling against the area circled.

Tap on the splash guards with your finger, if they’ve loose that will make a rattling sound. And did your rattle sound like it was coming from the front of the door or B pillar? Mine sounds like it’s coming from between the window and b pillar
Thanks. Yes, I tapped and driver side was loose. I secured it with some Velcro (drilled a hole in the middle of each piece) and reinstalled. It’s secure now, and rattle still exists. I can stop the rattle by applying slight pressure on the driver door panel right below left side under window. I applied Velcro padding yesterday but not sure if it was enough. I’m going to take piece off around door and add padding as well as more to door panel and see if that helps.Tap on the splash guards with your finger, if they’ve loose that will make a rattling sound.

Where on truck is that please? The dealership thinks they have solved the riddle. Here it is .....
It was none of my guesses and nothing I had seen before on Tacoma4G or Tacomaworld
Makes sense with speed activation.
The rivets go through the piece into the front door.Sweet, thanks. Did the rivets stay in place? I thought of doing that but didn’t want to rivets to fall back in the front part of the truck so I could no longer reach them.
From my perspective, I will just have to pull the piece out toward the driver seat and the rivets stay in place, just break loose from the black piece we are trying to remove?
