Hello, fellow Tacoma4g forum members.

I purchased my '24 Taco, ohh, about a year ago now. Up until this weekend, I hadn't done much with it. I use it as a daily and the modification bug just hadn't really hit me for the first year. Lately though I've been missing going off-roading with friends since selling my Jeep to buy the Tacoma. With that itch needing scratched, the modifications have finally begun. Here is what I've done so far, in rough order.

- Factory folding tonneau cover
- Dobinsons IMS suspension kit - non-reservior setup
- Dobinsons adjustable track bar
- Dobinsons adjustable rear sway bar endlinks
- Dirt King UCAs
- ECGS clamshell bushing
- Toyota axle exhaust dump
- Nomad Convoy rims in Utility Gray, 17x8.5 with +25 offset
- Falken Wildpeak A/T4W. Size 285/75

For the Dobinsons, I went with C59-820 front springs which give 2" of lift. I gave an extra 1/2" of preload to achieve the desired front lift of 2.5". For the rear, I went with C59-869V springs and Dobinsons .6" spacer, which gave approximately 1.75" of lift. I have a feeling I'll be switching them out with C59-817V springs though as I may add some permanent weight out that will cause it to sag more than I'd like.

Tire poke is not that bad at all. I'll have to get something flat to put against the tire and measure to get a precise amount of poke, but it appears to be between 1.25" - 1.5" of poke.

Parts on the way for install are RCI skid plates and rock sliders. They should arrive this coming week. Hopefully I'll have time to put them on next weekend.

Future plans include an RCI front bumper with a Warn winch, front seat covers, and some better rear recovery points.

Lifted long box’s look so good!

FYI had about the same amount of poke after I put on new wheels. Didn’t think it was going to be an issue until it rained, mud was slinging all over! Ordered Rough Country fender flares the next day. They add about 1.5 inches of additional width to catch the mud and rocks.

Hello, fellow Tacoma4g forum members.
- Dirt King UCAs

Did you swap out the UCAs yourself? Did you encounter an issue getting the through bolt out on either side?

- Nomad Convoy rims in Utility Gray, 17x8.5 with +25 offset.

Great build post and timing! Looks really pro. What do you think of the wheels and the color? I read that they look dark grey until the light hits them. Your photo looks overcast and the wheels don't look dark grey to me at all. Cool color. Thanks for sharing.

I don't mind the rain and mud flinging up on the truck. I come from Jeep land, lol. I may add some ppf to the bed in front of the fender flare to prevent paint damage though.

I did swap out the UCA's myself. The passenger bolt wasn't an issue. The driver side is another story. The intercooler outlet is in the way. You have two choices. First, buy a new bolt and just cut the head off of the old one, then pull it out rearward. Second, lift the radiator/intercooler assembly upward about 1/16" to 1/8" by removing 6 bolts on the driver side of the assembly. I did the second option because when I first looked at it when ordering the parts, I thought nothing was going to be in the way. If the bolt is less than $25, I'd just cut the head off if you have the necessary tool to do so without damaging anything else. If you wanted to go the second option, I can post pics of the bolt locations.

I love the wheels in the utility gray color. I wanted something different than the Methods everyone else seems to be running. They do appear to change color depending on lighting. To me I've seen them appear grayish blue, light gray and dark gray.

I would love that. Some posts make it sound simple by removing the intercooler tube but it's never that easy so that's why I asked.

Good to hear. I am putting them on my SB Bronze Oxide for my winters. Steelie look with studs.

Thanks for posting.
