We’ve received a few questions about compatibility — so we wanted to clarify:

Even if your 4th Gen Tacoma does NOT have the JBL A-pillar tweeter speaker, our driver-side grab handle still fits perfectly.


The A-pillar structure is the same across trims, whether or not your truck has the JBL tweeter grille. The speaker opening on our grab handle comes pre-molded, but it does not affect installation or function for trucks without the speaker.

I don't think you get it. If we don't have the JBL sound system, we don't want one pillar with an empty speaker grille. We don't care if it "still fits perfectly". And we also don't want a grab groove, or to have to buy a handle or second pillar panel.

I question whether you understand this market or the consumers.
