Hey gents just a quick post.
I recently purchased a 26’ travel trailer (7k weight) and my Tacoma just didn’t have enough ass to pull it around to my satisfaction so I traded it in on different truck.

The truck is listed for 50k at the dealer ( Oxendale Chrysler Dodge Jeep).

It’s got a Dirt King Prerunner kit, Method wheels and AT4W tires plus a RC hidden winch front bumper with a 12k winch mounted plus a few extras like light bar grill, seat covers etc.

The dealer doesn’t even have these items listed in their add.
Someone will be pleasantly surprised when they see it in person.

Anyone looking for a sweet ride there is one waiting to get picked up.

I am guessing this is the one?

That price can’t be too far off from what you could get a brand-new one for, even with the add-ons. In my neck of the woods, new ones are selling for around $46k to $48k.

They must have given you a pretty decent trade-in value, I’m guessing.

Edit: Never mind—I did a little research, and the upgrades you added could easily total $10k to $14k.

That is crazy, though—why wouldn’t they list all of that?

Yeah that’s the one, funny two days ago they had it listed for 50k.
I paid 44.7k out the door plus tax license etc.
They gave me 45k for a trade in on a 2022 ford f250 for 50k.
The suspension alone was around 7k
wheels and tires 2.5k
winch and bumper 1.5k
amp research boards 1.5k
plus seat covers, brake controller, dash cover etc.

do the math.

If anyone is going this route this one is allready done.

They don’t know what they have there or else they would have it listed for more dough.

Just wanted to give anybody looking for a gen4 a heads up on a nice rig.
Aloha boys.

That's a sweet truck.
I would get in there with the KBB and tell em aftermarket mods devalue the truck and see how low I could get them and get a BANGER of a deal.

Sorry you had to let it go man!
Someone is going to score.

I would guess they already factored the aftermarket mods into the price. If those upgrades weren’t on it, I’d expect the asking price to be significantly lower. The original poster said he paid $44.7k when it was new, so my assumption is they added value for the extras. I’m just puzzled as to why they don’t clearly list that in the ad.

Mods can sometimes hurt resale value, but in this case it appears to be the opposite.

If you were considering buying a new Toyota Tacoma and adding these upgrades yourself, this could be a steal. I’d also assume they have some room to negotiate, so you could potentially end up with a truck that only has 2,500 miles and roughly $60k invested in it for considerably less.

Good deal all day long, in my humble opinion.

Not just to your satisfaction, gen-4 Tacomas are only rated to tow 6400-6500 lbs as far as I know.

6.4k is the max for my old rig. Not disputing that.

Trailer weighs in at 6.2k, weighed it at the scales on the way out to the desert so I was legally under the max limit.

But the handling was ok but struggled going up the grade and I knew the weight would only go up so I made the changes I made to move forward instead of looking back.
Who knows maybe we’ll get a 12k fifth wheel in a couple of years and I will be good to go.

I probably only ran the truck off-road a half dozen times or so at speed and it performed really good.
Having the adjustable resi’s on all four corners gives you a lot of options as far as low/high speed rebound settings.
Pretty plush ride on the street if you just back off the standard settings they recommend overall.
Able to take dips at speed and not spill your coffee if you want to.
The videos they made are pretty much spot on.
Have had Bilstein and Fox 2.0’s on other bigger trucks but they were a lot stiffer on everyday driving.
Plus their shop is like 15 miles from my house. Good guys too.

Im sure some time in the future I will have them on my 250.

I appreciate your review. I tried emailing a few days ago regarding questions I have of their kit. I am really going for a plush ride but with the ability to run it.

I really appreciate the contrast you mentioned regarding FOX as well. I was debating over the 3.0 they just recently released. (3.0 Factory Series w/ Internal Bypass Remote DSC Reservoir Coilover Shocks). I’m trying to find reviews on them vs the Dirt king ones.

You want to talk to a guy named Drew.
They have 2 different buildings about 8 miles from each other.

The one on Mission Gorge rd is the R&D and admin area, they do have a showroom and the guys at the desk area are very informative.

The other one on Prospect Dr is the install shop.
