So you are clueless on how the systems differ yet you have an opinion on what should something cost.

The connectors are different (30 pins vs 14/12, more expensive), 11 channels of color coded 16 gauge wire which will allow for any DSP amplifier as plug and play reducing the installation time by hours.

I understand the connectors are different. The third GEN also has color-coded wires. Do these different connectors cause this product to cost over three times the last GEN? If they do, great I’d love to know. What I want to know is why this is so much more expensive than the third GEN wiring harness.

Is really not, is just not a product you would not buy and I get it. Not everyone see the value in a product that will save you time and money. Go to a shop and get a quotation to change out the system and see how much it would cost you. I work at a shop that charges $150 an hour and we're booked for weeks ahead.

You can buy a cheaper harness, but will have to extend it. This is a time saver, if you have plenty time to spare? Simple, go the cheap route.

the harness bypasses the factory JBL amplifier and allows you to connect an aftermarket amplifier directly to the speakers. You’ll need a 3rd party interface such as the PAC AP-TY14 to get a clean signal from the head unit to your amplifier.

Ah ok, was gonna order the pac module anyway but this makes things clearer, I saw that audx sells a more expensive harness, would that be the way to go or am I fine with the cheaper harness

How does this work? It allows you to move the PAC AP4-TY14 further away from the screen? Or is it trying to compete with the AP4-TY02 harness and some speed wire?
