Auto Stop Start on any non-hybrid can be abrupt. Like TacoFreak said, with the traction motor providing instantaneous response the transition is almost seamless.
Out of curiosity, do you have a '24 or '25 hybrid? They added the alternator to '25 hybrids but only if you have the 4th Aux switch. The theory is that the alternator is needed if you are running all four aux switches at once.
I find it hard to believe that, after one year, Toyota received so...
The previous gens were closer to their epa because when you gave them more gas to go faster they just made more noise. Because more throttle didn't get you more acceleration, you drove the trucks more conservatively. With the 4g, when you give it more gas and the turbo spools up it's "yeah...
I have a RetraxPRO (which I love) and started with the ESI Ultimate Tailgate Seal. I didn't follow their directions. I removed the tailgate and put one continuous strip on the bottom (as opposed to three pieces), I didn't put the pieces on the top (#3A, 3B, 3C) because it looked stupid, and I...
As I said earlier, my passenger seat has a slight squeak that I isolated to the right strut/shock. Waiting another 2,500mi for first service to have them check it out. The seat back of the passenger seat also doesn't seem to blow as forcefully as the driver's. Will have them check that too...
I thought I got all of the bubbles out during install but noticed several the next day. Instructions say they dissipate after 5-30 days. 7-8 days later they were still there and I was thinking I needed to order another film for the 14" display. A couple days later they were gone. Another...
I recently added a seal to my tailgate to keep dust out (I have tonneau cover). Compressing the seal when you closed the tailgate (with power) caused the tailgate to stop about an inch short of latching. After sitting closed overnight the seals stayed compressed enough that the power close...
Because not everyone knows that preload collar lifts increase spring rate and reduce travel - which is why Toyota doesn't do their lifts that way.
OP said he didn't know anything about Ironman coil spacers. Looks like they're a combination of strut spacers and preload spacers. I believe the...
The TRD Pro has a lot features that are clearly for show (hood scoop, aluminum rocker "protectors", etc), but for the modest 1 1/2" lift they gave it, they went with taller coil springs, taller shocks, and UCAs with different geometry. They could have just put collar spacers in there and lowered...
Toyota offers a "factory" 2 1/2" lift kit and they change out the springs, shocks, and the upper control arms. Either they're just trying to sell you extra stuff, or that's the right way to lift your truck.
No clunking but I have a squeak coming from my passenger seat. More noticeable without a passenger and on bumpy roads. I was able to replicate the sound by striking the back of the seat with the palm of my hand. Isolated the squeak to the right strut. It's a little looser than the other struts...
