  1. So does the Toyota app that costs $15 work as a "find my truck" if stolen ?

People who scoff at the subscription aren’t realizing that the app features rely on 4G connectivity. Toyota isn’t going to pay AT&T for that in perpetuity
  2. TRD Twin Tip Performance Exhaust Part #?

You don’t. You can install the axle back only if you’re not interested in the center/mid pipe. That is what I did.
  3. Car Wash Friday

Agree on chemical guys being overpriced. Not to say they’re bad but it’s a lot of marketing. I recommend Griots for a great, reasonably priced brand. CarPro if you really want to up your game.
  4. Car Wash Friday

Waiting for the rain to quit so I can give mine its first hand wash. I got it ceramic coated soon after buying but it’s only been sprayed off in a wash bay until now. I bought it in October. Can’t wait to foam it up and get the mit on it.
  5. TRD Pro: Fox QS3 setting for road

The real question is..where can the rest of us buy these QS3s for our non-Pro trucks? Assuming Toyota doesn’t sell the parts unless you have a Pro VIN?
  6. 2.4 Rattle / Knock noise under load - does yours sound like this?

I recently put the TRD exhaust on mine and that really helped balance out the sound. Prior to it there was just zero exhaust noise and so all you heard was the injector rattle at times. Now it’s got a throaty tone under load that counteracts a lot of the engine noise. But yeah, going for the...
  7. 2.4 Rattle / Knock noise under load - does yours sound like this?

D4S Injectors are loud. Running premium fuel reduces this noise. Also, not all trim levels come with the hood insulation. This helps cut down on the noise pinging around the engine bay. I plan on adding that to mine soon.
  8. A/C clutch failure; will now be the 3rd fix attempt in 2,500 miles. At a loss for words.

I have a non-hybrid and haven’t experienced this issue. Stay on the dealer. Possibly a recall to come and/or at the very least a TSB once they determine the cause.
  9. Side-by-Side: TRD Performance Exhaust vs Stock

It really does add a nice deep sound without being loud. I was a bit apprehensive as I’m no longer a kid and didn’t want to “rice” out the truck with a tacky, loud exhaust but It checks all the right boxes. Definitely the OEM+ vibe I’m going for with my truck. I was so disappointed with the lack...
  10. Is a 2025 Limited a Good Choice?

The difference you’re likely feeling is the acoustic glass in the limited. The TRD OR premiums have it as well. There could be more NVH they add to the limited that I’m not aware of but as a TRD OR owner without the acoustic glass I’m happy with mine. I came from a 2020 3 series and this is...
  11. Vibrating gas pedal and general rough ride

All ICE vehicles will have slight vibrations in their drivetrain. However, there is nothing out of the ordinary with mine. Either your tolerance for this is very low, or your truck needs another dealer
  12. Side-by-Side: TRD Performance Exhaust vs Stock

It’s gotta be a placebo but I feel like losing that huge resonator has added a little bit more low and mid range power. Engine seems to enjoy the reduced back pressure. That’s what I tell myself anyways.
  13. First oil change at 840 miles with filter cut open (LOTS of debris!)

You’re in the wrong forum. Maybe go over to Tacoma World if you want to troll.
  14. My 2024 SR5 needs a new Frame.

This is not uncommon for trucks. If you’re rear ended and it bends your hitch mount then they’ll just write it off. Not a uniquely Tacoma issue.
  15. Pap's Trailhunter Tacoma build

Is that 35% on both front and back? Looks good. I’m not interesting in the futile task of making the front match the rear.
  16. Tariffs On Products From Mexico [⚠️ ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, ONLY POLICY DISCUSSIONS]

Glad I bought my TRD exhaust and skid plate when I did. Figure those prices will jump as will most other OEM parts and accessories.
  17. 4th gen hate

Hopefully this engine will be looked upon in time as the evolution of the 22RE. It’s a 2.4 I4 after all.
