  1. Any fixes for levelling the JBL center channel yet?

I just tried lowering the midrange some today, and I agree that helps too. I have the Beat Sonic and have pushed the fade toward the rear and rebalanced the sound as much as this system allows, and it is better. Probably as good as it will get without upgrading the whole thing IMO.
  2. Any fixes for levelling the JBL center channel yet?

True. When the first updates happen it won't be a feature, but a drawback and they will hopefully move on to something better than the current sound system.
  3. Tail Gate Assist (SR5) ?

Goog job. That should have been on every Taco without the power tailgate, just like they all should have at least pigtails for the trailer brake controller. I don't remember Toyota being so cheap with their trucks in the past.
  4. Any fixes for levelling the JBL center channel yet?

I have noticed the same thing. Since installing the Beat Sonic amp it almost seems to have a normal sound field, but only on some of my music. I have pushed the fade to the rear a little, but I don't notice much improvement from that. I also tried just removing the center speaker but it seemed...
  5. What boats are you towing with a 2024 IForceMax Hybrid?

I agree. I bought a Tundra to do that kind of towing, because my 2nd gen was just not up to the task. But 4th gens are based on the same structure as a Tundra and the hybrids have more torque than the 5.7L V8 in my Tundra, so they should tow very well.
  6. Hood Part Number (of 2024 Tacoma TRD Sport)?

In my truck it isn't even a shake - just a slight tremble, and I never see it unless I look for it, which is about twice since I owned the truck. Someone would really be reaching to think that this is a problem worth worrying about. I read a Land Rover review of a truck that cost almost $100k...
  7. Hood Part Number (of 2024 Tacoma TRD Sport)?

Wow - so much love for the scoop! I have heard mostly negative comments about them. But that scoop is one of my favorite parts of my truck. It gives the 4th gen front a better, in charge appearance IMO. I hope you can find the part numbers and that they are not crazy expensive. It also seems...
  8. What boats are you towing with a 2024 IForceMax Hybrid?

I don't have first hand boat towing yet, unfortunately. But Toyota has always been conservative in their tow ratings and I have always felt comfortable towing up close to them. The hybrids have the power and weight to tow like a smaller Tundra, and that is a very good thing. I'll also be...
  9. 2025 cockpit red TRD Pro seats for trade for non pro

Yeah - that would be typical for Toyota to use a universal mount for the seats. I have never driven a Trailhunter, but from the pictures the seats look very similar but without the suspension. Trailhunter owners could give you more feedback on that. Good luck.
  10. 2025 cockpit red TRD Pro seats for trade for non pro

@BearTacos obviously hates these seats, but I love mine. The first thing most people comment on when they ride in my truck is how comfortable the seats are, with a special shout out for the bolsters. Different strokes for different folks. The only downside that I can see is that they eat even...
  11. Removing/hiding mild scratches on dash by AC knobs

Good job - they look way better than they did. I don't see how they can hold up any worse than the parts Toyota put in from the factory.
  12. 2024 Tacoma paint issues

There are definitely problems with white 4th gen's paint, because those and Underground seem to get the most complaints. @whitelat's truck clearly has debris under the paint, so it must not have been properly prepared. My Terra paint is virtually perfect and it is hard to understand why only...
  13. Insurance Cost For Your 2024+ Tacoma 4th Gen?

I paid $760 for six months of insurance from State Farm with pretty much the same coverage that @jsuber posted.
  14. New Tires & Wheels on My Limited: 18" American Outlaw + Cooper Discoverer Road + Trail AT Tires

Yeah - I'm not a fan of that plastic chrome either. My Limited Tundra had it all over the place and I replaced some of it with body color parts. I really wanted the grill in body color but for some reason Pyrite Mica was one of the only colors they didn't make those in. On the plus side I...
  15. Tariffs On Products From Mexico [⚠️ ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, ONLY POLICY DISCUSSIONS]

@Longpatterned Yeah, I got hurt by some of the tariffs last time around too, which makes me really glad that I already have my 4th gen.
  16. Describe your transmission behavior.

While your engine is warming up it might just be the ECU adding revs at that gear/road speed and not the transmission at all. Or it could be when the torque converter locks, and maybe not even a problem. I didn't get an extended warranty because none of my previous Toyotas needed one. I...
  17. Describe your transmission behavior.

@Burgi, @tacorancher, @inlandsmog do the engine RPMs stay the same when that happens? I'm wondering if that surge is caused by the ECU or by the transmission. AFAIK my truck has never done that under any circumstances.
  18. Insurance Cost For Your 2024+ Tacoma 4th Gen?

Same here. I traded in a 14 year old Tundra and there was no doubt that my insurance would go up. But another large factor was that car insurance in Virginia went up by about 25% on average year over year. So between the two my insurance increase was huge, but not totally unexpected.
  19. Florida Keys Trip Views

It looks like @DannyDrives is better at planning than I am. :) Love seeing those pictures! Eight inches of snow here in central Virginia yesterday, and now freezing rain. My truck is mad at me for having it in Key West right about now.
  20. 2024 Limited power back window rattle

I agree with @Airborne - take it to your dealer and let them fix it. Mine does not rattle at all, so I think you are right that the cable needs adjusting.
