  1. Suma Performance Mirrors installed photos

Wonder how they'd do with a trailer. Probably more aesthetically pleasing than the clip-on or stick-on options. Is the suma logo just a vinyl decal ? Or is it embedded into the glass ?
  2. PSA: Euro Global Techstream Plus WORKS on 2024 Tacoma 4th Gen

I have the newer DrewTech Mongoose-Plus Toyota 3. I've heard of people using the generic ones, but technically you're doing so at your own risk, as they're not Toyota approved. On the flipside, I haven't heard of people bricking their Toyotas with the generic adapters, albeit older generations.
  3. ARK Mudflaps - experience / reviews?

I have them and to be honest, they don't do too much. Better than running nothing though, especially if you're running a more aggressive offset. But I like their low profile look. I'll probably end up getting a larger set at some point.
  4. Illinois Limited Grill (Includes Camera Bracket) - $190

Yup, just shoot me a DM.
  5. Explain it like I’m 5 - bump stops!

Agreed. I was going to say I don't really understand the logic of why they cast this piece but obviously the answer is cost. Machining parts like this would obviously be much more expensive and time-consuming. Only time will tell if these failures are truly commonplace - as with any new...
  6. RCI Crossmember Installed Review & Photos

The slowboat from China strategy really failed for NYTOP. After they had their design down, if they literally just had them made in NA for probably 10-20% over the cost of offshoring, factoring in ocean freight, they would have sold a bunch even at their original, absurdly high price because...
  7. RCI Crossmember Installed Review & Photos

I mean.... not only the time factor, but it's also a fraction of the cost :)
  8. Explain it like I’m 5 - bump stops!

This is only true for the front - the rear still has externally mounted bumpstops.
  9. Weather Tech HD Floor Mats Installed - finally

Huskys are made in the states too. I do like the WTs more, I have a set in both of our other cars.
  10. Weather Tech HD Floor Mats Installed - finally

I do like how they emboss their logo now rather than use the same "stick on placard" style logos that a lot of other mats have.
  11. RCI Crossmember Installed Review & Photos

For those looking at mounting a skid plate, but missing the additional crossmember, the RCI x-member seems to suit the job just fine. A significantly cheaper alternative than the NYTOP piece. Overall, I think the construction is fine, especially given the value. One interesting note is they...
  12. Yakima SkyLine fixed point towers

I don't believe Yakima has released a fixpoint system for the 4G yet. I too, am anxiously waiting for these - I spoke to my local dealer (Rack Attack) and they were saying it'll probably be a few months at a minimum before Yakima releases something for our trucks that mounts to the pre-drilled...
  13. Upgraded Suspension for excess load

@Tacomaniac are you running a constant load (ie campershell) or just occasionally towing a load? Either way, any significant deterioration in ride quality? I'm extra tempted to scoop these up now.... their blog even has a picture of them towing the same trailer I have, LOL...
  14. Underground Limited iForceMax Blackout (De-chrome)

Yeah, saw these as well - the OE black garnish itself is only about $25 bucks but currently backordered. I may end up just going that route once there's stock of the part.
  15. Underground Limited iForceMax Blackout (De-chrome)

Nice man! Interesting that you didn't have issues with your sensors and your wrap. I was told by my PPF guy that it can cause issues with certain sensors. But glad it worked out for you! I also recently tried to DIY wrap my tailgate handle and overall, turned out OK, but struggled with getting...
  16. First alucab on a 4th gen tacoma

That's awesome. I'm really considering picking up the Alu-cab canopy (just the topper version) - did you get yours through OK4WD? Seems like they're already taking preorders for an estimated January delivery.
  17. Tacoma Limited : Blackout Progress

Interesting - didn't think about that possibility, would make a lot of sense. I have a friend that runs a tire shop, I just picked up the universal autel sensors and had him clone my OE ones.
  18. Tacoma Limited : Blackout Progress

Correct, all the grills are interchangeable. Toyota does have an OE lightbar that connects into the highbeam circuit, but I'm not sure it's even available. I made my own brackets for Heretic bar as well as the front-facing camera. Yes to the harness, had to get a new one. I have a couple other...
  19. Is the 4th gen Shark Fin just for satellite radio?

I believe it's used for the radio, GPS, and cellular. It's multiple elements within a single enclosure.
