17" wheels on Hybrid Tacomas

I remember reading somewhere that hybrid Tacomas have a larger brake package than other Tacomas.

I am curious if there is anyone out there who has tried to put 17" wheels on their hybrid tacoma and run into clearance issues regarding the brake calipers.

I have seen several examples of people putting 17" wheels on a hybrid tacoma without issue but just want to make sure.

I am currently looking at the RRW RR5-H wheel in a 17x8.5 +25

If yall have a hybrid on 17s, Id love to see em

Worked fine for me. Those are Raceline Krank 17x8.5 +18 with 285/70R17 tires.

I have 17"x8.5 Method +25mm Wheels on my 2024 TRD OR Hybrid. Currently has 285/70/17, but will be swapping them out for 285/75/17 tomorrow.

No clearance issues.

17x8.5 +0 tires are 285/75R17 with no issues.

Hybrids and TRDs have the exact same front brakes and in the rear the hybrid steps up to a 17” minimum wheel size brake setup from the 16” minimum that the SR/SR5/TRDs have. 17’s officials will fit perfectly fine just like they do on other trims since 17” is the maximum wheel diameter required for a Tacoma brake setup.
