Not surprised. I got 30 mpg once on a two hour round trip. This engine really likes the 55 - 65 mph zone. My average mpg has been right around 27 combined city and rural driving. I have 6k miles on it now. When I fill up just till the pump clicks off, no top off, my DTE reads 405-408. I'm glad I didn't opt for the 4WD. I've always noticed on various brands that you'll commonly loose a couple mpg just by dragging around 4WD gear while in 2WD, but it seems with this Tacoma you'll really take a hit with mpg on a 4WD.

Report back what the mpg is at the end of that tank.
No need to poop the party on a single trip win. Go start a thread for long range fuelly endurance grandpa right lane driving. We all know what Toyota prints on the sticker combined.

I sat in rush hour traffic and blew the doors off on a Prius…are you gonna mansplain some shit to me or request telemetry at a later date?

I don’t drive an SR5, I drive a TH with queen sized bed on the roof. There’s a solid state battery in the JBL dash speaker, transmits wireless inertia to the NiMH for that extra umpfh lol

Wow, 40.7 mpg. That’s amazing, you are so lucky to have a Tacoma that gets that kind of gas mileage. You are such an amazing person. Here is your trophy 🏆
Is that better.

Bro's driving 11.8 miles in 31 minutes. Of course it's going to report high gas mileage.

If I only drove five miles in an hour, I bet I could beat that too...

Cool. Just filled up after finishing first full tank from dealer. 363 miles. 15.14 gallons. Almost exactly 24 mpg. This is without cruise control since I'm still in the break-in period so constantly altering speed between 65 mph and 75 mph. Also your speedometer is reading 3 mph faster than you are actually going with those stock tires.

If you’re in a hybrid not using the adaptive cruise for many scenarios yields better MPG.

One of the few scenarios where adaptive cruise does work favorably is driving across Kansas. Most hybrid MAX inputs rely on manual accelerator pedal input
