Hello,
Been going back and forth for a couple weeks now undecided. So thought I would ask some opinions. Here are my restraints.
-I for sure want an 18" tire. I already have the TRD 18" wheels with the +45 backspacing. They are what I want. I do know many more choices out there with 17s
-Ideally I think I want a tire around 33.5 to 34.5 maybe 35
-Non hybrid OR with TRD Suspension lift. I could care less if I need to remove my crash brackets or trim mudflaps
-No towing, no real frequent hauling: I do not think I want anything in a load E which limits my choices
-Im trying not to completely destroy my mileage
-Ideally I need to stay under 6'8" but Im currently at 6"4 maybe with the stocks sitting at about 31", so I dont think any of these are a concern
So with that said, here is what I have narrowed it down to so far
Falken Wildpeak 285/70R18 Load C - 34 x 11.50, 68lbs 1568
Falken Wildpeak 35x11.50R18 Load C - 34.9x11.9 , 62.6lbs 1487
Nitto RG AT 295/70R18 Load SL - 34.29x11.77, 52.79lbs 1544
Goodyear Duratrac 275/70R18 Load D - 33.19x10.98, 57.5lbs 1423
Nitto TG G3 275/70R18 Load SL - 33.19x10.98, 45.57lbs 1152
Toyo Open Country AT III (EV) 275/80R18 Load SL - 33.2x11.0, 43lbs 1367 (-100 rebate)
I think that is primarily what I have on the table.
I grabbed general stats and pricing from simple tire for comparison.
I do have some thoughts specifically on these, but curious what yours are first. Long term plan, after regearing options are more widely able or swaps from the MT are more common, will go to something near 4.30 gears and ultimately to 37s.
Thanks for the help!
