Well as stated I was the worst teenager!
As I helped my father change both motor mounts in a 1973 LTD Wagon with the huge 460" engine, as he cussed his brother the whole time who used the car to pull a boat recently.
Was very little room to work in there.
What he didn't know was that I ran from the law jumped a road @ a crossing @ 70mph, got airborne and ripped both motor mounts when wheels came down from spinning free in air overspeeding.
Engine would jump up and hit the hood if you wasn't real careful.
And only 1 instance of MANY!!!

Ok, heres the deal...
Dont think im imaging it as I asked my 15 year old son after I noticed it & he agrees.
I have a 24 sport just shy of 6k miles on it with 285 75 17's

Was always impressed how well it stopped, even with the larger tire / wheel combo.
Yesterday & today I noticed what feels like I lost some brake sensitivity as it takes more effort to stop the truck.
Nothing crazy or drastic, almost like I have glazed rotors per say & pad to rotor contact isnt as efficient as they were.
At 6k miles thought, doubtful...

Just seems like I need more pedal effort & takes longer to stop, as stated, less efficient...
As stated it's subtle but scratching my head so I figured ide ask if anyone else is experiencing this?

We dont need to discuss the brake line issue, that isnt it.....
Anyone?
I have a 2025 Tacoma with about 4000 miles on it. This vehicle is stock other than the Minor things I've added however nothing suspension related or tires. I have noticed it a difference in braking over time. I initially thought it might be because of the new rotors and new brake pads. But now I'm not so sure since there are other comments about this. It definitely doesn't seem as aggressive as it did when New. However, I haven't had any trouble with braking per se.. It just doesn't seem as aggressive As when it was brand new (noticeable difference is all I'm adding here - braking is still very adequate , again, just different

Pretty much sums it up accurately....

My brakes have broken in since new when they were very sensitive (20k now).
Braking response now is very good. Responsive but not too sensitive.

There have been several times (maybe 6 in 12 months) where i really have to put my foot into the brake. Happens at lower speeds. Definitely feel like the electronic brake is not giving the signal that it usually does when i press that hard. Seems like one or two stops then returns to normal but it does not happen enough for me to know the exact pattern.

I have 32,000 miles on my 2024, I was noticing what you're describing but was hopeful it would improve after getting the brake line recall work done...it didnt. The material is fine on the brakes (rotors may be getting a little warped) but I was still just writing it off to the mileage. Sounds like that may not be the case considering I'm experiencing the same thing you're describing at 6,000 miles. They didnt report any issues when I had it in, for whatever thats worth.
