Looking to see if anyone has put a snow way plow or any plow on their 24 hybrid, what does the plow mount look like? wiring to the battery in the rear seat area? any issues overall? what if anything needed to be removed or trimmed to use the plow mounts?

Does anybody even make a front hitch receiver to accommodate a snowplow for the gen four yet? I've been keeping my eyes open because I'd like to add one, but haven't seen one.

Snoway makes a complete setup for the truck that mounts using the front tow hook and frame area. It’s what I’m looking at. Wireless controller and no lights just driveway plow.

problem is the mount is backordered like 4 weeks sooo I'm waiting on that from the dealer, also able to remove the mount in the spring or when it needs to go to the dealer.

I have a similar problem. Currently using a Husqvarna tractor with a 40" wide snow thrower. On a hill, getting back up the driveway is problematic. More than 6" of wet snow is problematic. Getting traction is problematic if the ground is not frozen. If it's below 15 degrees, you'll freeze your arse off it you need to be out there more than an hour. Overall, a snow thrower on a tractor does not cut it under many circumstances.

After a ton of research, I bought a Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road with the i-Force hybrid because it had extra torque and clearance. The Boss product selector had plenty of recommendations for plows. I talked to numerous people and finally went for it. I then discovered from the installer that they can't put a plow on a hybrid because the battery is in the back and they basically have to destroy the truck to get the wiring in place.

I now have a nice shiny new 2025 Toyota Tacoma i-Force hybrid I bought for plowing I can't use for plowing. I am posting this so you (or any other reader) will not make the same mistake.

What's the power draw? Does the installer know there are pre-wired aux circuits - one of them being under the hood?

Snowway makes a good light plow. And the truck has easy grommet in the battery area for the wires to come thru. My installer had this all set up and decided to just get a snowblower and freeze to death.

Building on the above comment, sounds like the installer isn't very creative. You can tap into 12v constant hot right in the hood of the hybrid. Just put an insulated spade plug on any unused fuse blade within one of the two fuse boxes. I used the driver side one for my light bar.

That’s not gonna work with a plow setup for certain.

Why not? If you're trying to tap into the battery as a power source, it's equivalent. The rest of it is frame mounting ease/complications.

if you can jumper the truck from within the hood, you can hot anything you need from within the hood.

should one want to insist they need to directly attach to the 12v, then there is a pass-through flange already existing for the leads running from the battery area and cab to the bed and tailgate area.

There is a pass-through flange for the engine firewall in front of the driver in the corner. There is a pass through from cab to bed within the battery compartment under the rear seat.

So where's the issue that would require someone "tearing up the battery compartment?"

To each is own. I would directly wire to the battery and fused independently from the rest of the truck. But hey if someone wants to try it out and report back on there truck all good šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

unused spades are not fused. You need to add the requisite inline fuse or sub-fuse box. It's simply an extension of the battery hot.

Here's my setup running to an in-line fuse, then onward to the switching relay.

While I agree it’s possible it’s also possible you will overload your fuse panel and damage the plow or panel. It’s not a chance I’m taking with my truck. But to each is own.
