Let's think about what you're trusting them to do - that's a lot of weight, static energy, and kinetic energy that needs to hold without a second thought of failure.

On certain things, there's a lot of engineering that goes into something that at the end of the day looks very basic on the surface. Same for front hooks, actual good wheels, frame designs, etc.

I received my ARB tow hooks yesterday.

These ARB recovery points are HEAVY DUTY. Each one weighs in at almost 10 pounds. NOTE: The recommended torque setting is 125 foot pounds.

So last night I purchased the set of OEM ARB recovery points. I'm in Canaduh...and the prices here locally are $600-675, plus shipping and taxes (so total of like +750$) absolutely crazy! Anyways, I ordered the ARB's from a Toyota dealer in the US, and total to my door it should come in around $550 CAD or so. I'm not a big fan of the look of the NYTOP's. But there are the Bonobo ones, which very closely resemble the ARB's, but cost nearly as much. However, you can get the matching front hooks...and they all look absolutely awesome! If I was in the US...I'd definitely purchase the full Bonobo set.

Got em! Elmhurst Toyota ships super quick! They had a couple marks in the paint, so I touched up with a toothpick and Rustoleum Apple Red Gloss - PERFECT match!

This looks great! What type of paint did you use? And did you sand it first? I imagine it would be hard around the ARB logo...

I sold mine off my Trailhunter, they’re stupid heavy. Ordered a set of SXTH Element recovery points w/ bed step relocate bracket. Those SXTH’s are designed for soft shakle or 3/4” D ring and TBH who uses these gargantuan chains to pull you out anymore. Watch some Matt’s OR Recovery and you’ll realize those ARB lugs are statement pieces. Sure you can sling a kinetic rope around ‘em, you like how they look, drop 3 bones on powder coated cast iron or go alloy with a bracket that allows both recovery points and a bed step simultaneously
