I posted a pic of the SS3 Baja 686 bumper inserts but wanted to make a separate post for them.

Came across this company this month, they currently offer inserts for Baja Designs S1 lights and Diode Dynamics SSC1 lights.

They will have these SS3 inserts for sale later this month.

Overall happy with the quality of these, and it will be nice having more forward lighting that goes farther than the factory fogs.

I plan on wiring these into the factory aux switches next week when i install these.

Just seen your reddit post, curious to see how they look
they have a post on their IG of the SS3 mounts installed. I'm curious how running the wiring will be for it. i already had the OE pigtail wired for ditch lights so i will have to dissect it to add these.

What is the deal with "trimming required"? They don't just pop in where the oem inserts are?

Hey thanks for sharing these photos!
So one thing I’m curious about is that with their inserts, it “looks” to me like they have aligned the lights (all the options they have) with the slightly slanted vent lines or ribs, which means the lights aren’t actually square with the road surface ahead. I assume this translates to an outwardly/upward angled beam pattern? Are you able to share any straight, head-
on photos of each side and/or maybe with the lights shining against a wall? I would really love a set but I don’t want fog lights pointed up on the outsides.

also wondering if you have them on for ~15-30 mins if you notice a drop in brightness due to the reduced cooling (no air flowing past them from the front in the same way as if they were exposed).

thanks for any feedback, they look great!

I’ve reached out to Baja 686 and asked if they would consider printing a version with the lights more square, they did acknowledge they were made to align with the sloped vent lines not the vertical side, and said they are working on a new model. It sounded like it would be a couple weeks before they could share a tentative design image.

cheers,

Chris

Appreciate you posting this, I saw the ones from Tacoma Lifesyle and figured someone would offer a comparable offering but with a more powerful light, and boom here it is.
