I have a Backflip MX4 tonneau cover and I'm looking for some suggestions for adding tie down points to my bed Rail so I can tie down bins or an ice chest on top of the tonneau cover when it's closed. Specifically, I'd use this setup for packing up for camping with some stuff under the cover and bins and an ice chest over the cover. Any suggestions would be great!

I appreciate the response! Maybe I missed something but those would go inside the bed so if the tonneau cover was closed I couldn't use them as tie downs. I'm looking for something that would either bolt to the bed cover or to the top of the bed Rail going along the side of the truck

@Truckeeskibum I think this might be a good option. @Toyotimothy I think you're still talking about the in-bed rails. I want something running on the top of the bed rails outside of the tonneau cover.

Nice! I think this is what I would want. Are you using the T-Tracks there or are they static mounting points? If it is the t-tracks, what size are you running there? I think the 54" or 60" would work for the short bed right?

I haven’t actually gone ahead with a purchase and install yet. Just been doing a bunch of research and this set up looks like the best option.

I’d likely only use it as a ski rack, but I could potentially envision putting a couple of road bikes on there in the summer.

My garage is too short to leave a hitch rack installed full time and mine is a pain to keep taking on and off on a daily basis

I immediately regret not getting a retractable tonneau cover. I think I like your idea of having the bike up on the bed instead of on a hitch rack!
