Cracked windshield again

Has anybody had experience with cracked windshield on the 2024 Toyota TRD off road? I bought mine last April, came out to Colorado and had a crack on my windshield one morning. Fast forward to today. Was doing some climbing in the mountains and when I got down to my truck I had another crack. That's two cracked windshields in less than a year. Just wondering if anybody knows anything about Toyota windshields being inherently poor quality

Not me. Did you happen to get hit by a flying rock from another vehicle ?

Often a rock hits and does no noticeable damage. But a hot or cold day, or flexing off road will slightly stress the windshield, where the rock hit is weak and the windshield cracks. Not saying that’s what happened but it’s happened to me more than once.

Mine finally caught a rock, and the new windshield has been ordered. Sounds like a serious wait. How long did your first replacement take?

Had mine less than a month and got it cracked on the highway. Not sure that it's a quality issue. Seems more of an issue with the angle of the windshield. Stuff doesn't really bounce off it more just takes it straight to the chin lol.

Welcome to the Taco cracked windshield club. My 4th gen Taco just turned 11 months old and caught yet another rock from a gravel truck flyin down highway. I had my 3rd gen Taco for four years and went through three windshields. I haven't priced a replacement windshield yet but I can tell ya for a fact my 3rd gen Taco was $1250 going through my insurance company or $650 cash out the door. I really try to avoid getting behind those freaking gravel trucks. Best of luck to you.

Had mine a whole day before I got a rock chip. Luckily it was tiny and a quick trip to the glass shop got it sealed before it could spread.

I I haven't ran into any gravel trucks. There's the usual stuff on the interstate front construction or semi's passing me but this time there was nothing. I drove down to a mountain and didn't even follow anyone down. When I came down, the crack was there.

Actually, it wasn't bad. It did take them two days to install it though. I'm a little leery about this time, though with the tariffs and all that stuff going on.

SAME ... less than a month old and got it cracked by rock on a gravel section of highway in Idaho... right in the middle of window but I kinda don't notice it anymore

Not sure it's a quality issue. That was 9 months ago and crack hasn't spread
