Diamondback HD on a Trailhunter

I got a Diamondback HD bed cover that calls for the plastic bed cap to be removed for the fitting of shims. I just realized the TH has the integrated bed lights in that plastic cap. Any idea how they are wired? I don’t want to damage anything removing the plastic bed cap.

Also, anyone know how necessary it is to add these shims?

I just ordered the SE. do you remove the bed caps the same way as the ones without the lights? And do the spacers at the bottom fit with all that wiring?

Yup. Without the lights it will be simpler. Spacers fit perfect.
