Eibach Front Springs/ Dirt king HV TACOMA

For anyone running Eibach front shocks or Dirt King suspension, did your suspension take time to settle to its correct height?

I have a set of Dirtking shocks with Eibach front springs that were supposed to give it a 2 in lift. However, after 2 weeks of driving and 500 miles, they are still at 2.5 in.

It is seriously bugging me, as my truck looks squatted now. The shock company wants to keep reinforcing that it needs time to settle, but I don't think that's the issue.

Any insight would be appreciated.

Absolutely. I have Eibach pro truck coilovers and they settled 1/2” after a couple of months and maybe 1000 miles (don’t drive much) . It’s funny because I bought Eibach 1” rear springs before they settled, because like you, I felt squatted. After settling, I had to raise the front to even it out. So, give it a little more time. Pics- stock wheels right after install. Black wheels after settling.
Another thing I want to add- I don’t believe the idea of measuring fender to hub and making front and rear equal measurements result in a level truck with this model. I believe it will appear to be squatted when the measurements are equal. Maybe it’s my eye, but that is my experience.

Yeah, that’s a lot more drastic. You could always adjust them, it’s very simple if you’ve never done it. Honestly, I don’t think you’re gonna settle that much. I’d probably give it another 500 miles or so and then adjust. When I called Eibach to ask them how much of a lift they’re supposed to give, they sounded like they didn’t really know, and gave an estimate of 1.8”. I adjusted mine twice to get where I wanted- a very slight rake.

It might be the photo exaggerating it a bit but what you see is how I see it in my mind.

I will give it 500 more miles before going nuts on the shock company.

When you called eibach did you question the rake ?

You would expect more than that from a company that’s been in the industry longer.

I’m glad your truck leveled it looks the way I want mine too.
