The back to the future truck wasn't a Tacoma. It was a just a pickup or hilux in the foreign markets

I loved the truck in the movie. Really made me love small trucks. My first truck was an 88 Ranger that of course I had to put on a brush guard and KC lights (which I still have). When I sold it I actually got a 1994 Toyota Pickup with the 22re every one loves so much with a 5spd manual and 4x4. It was even black.

Funny thing is, I absolutely hated that truck. Rode like a hay rack, even with better shocks. Interior felt more cramped and the seats uncomfortable. Absolutely gutless and I was not impressed with the fuel economy I got with a 4cyl 5spd. The only good thing about that truck was if I offered a girl a ride home I could literally bounce them clear out her shirt if it was a low cut top on the right road. Hated everything about that truck and swore off Toyotas forever. Sold it for a 1994 Ranger back then and never looked back.

Then here we are nearly 20 years later and my first ever new car I've bought for myself is a Tacoma. Which I absolutely love.
