Im putting this out as a feeler……I might get rid of my 4th gen Tacoma. I have a set of these TRD Pro 4Runner headlights brand new in the box in my garage. I have not put them on yet because I had a plan to do them with my fogs and a TRD Pro heritage grill (which I have not purchased yet.) all at one time to not keep taking off the front fascia.
Im still not sure Im getting rid of the Tacoma, but if I do. The headlights will be offered at a substantial discount from what I paid.
I’ll also be interested in those headlights, let me know!

Finally installed my TRD Pro lights today. I absolutely had to mechanically adjust the aim after install because on level 5 they were way low still. Got them to the following results in the photo which based on Google is about 250 ft to the brick of the house from where my truck was. That’s on level 5 and leaves some room to aim them down as the truck squats under load. I’ll probably drive on 4.5 most of the time.

Anyways, love the way they turned out. Both low beam and high beam are definitely significantly better than stock. And the amber DRL/turn is just awesome. It’s super bright and way nicer than the stock amber bulb or any aftermarket LED bulb.

How did you mechanically aim the lights?

I set the leveler on 5, aimed the truck at my garage door from about 15-20 feet away so I could actually see the pattern move, then just stuck a screwdriver down in the spot it goes in and turned until the beam went up some. Then matched the other side and went for a test drive. Decided where I had them was good enough for 5 and that I wouldn’t want them any higher any other time, and left them alone.

My assumption is that a factory TRD Pro is both taller and has less rake, needing the lights to naturally be projected lower. Then they go on my truck that is stock besides taller tires and can’t see much of anything with them.

Just out off curiosity, why level 5?

5 is the highest level on these (unlike the Tacoma lights where 0 is the highest), so I wanted them on their highest leveled setting before setting the highest point I would mechanically raise them to.
