So i understand ,new tires, wheels, lift ? Do a re align. I just get curiouse for my own experiance, I Currently have a 2014 4 runner , 197,000 miles
drive everyday, currently have BFG K-2,S. Never have had an alignment ever …..17 inch wheels, 265 whatever size tires lol …..i drive this truck in all terrain, i live off the grid, and have the “kdss system, …..im very non chalant about this truck, its bullit proof. But trading in for my 2025 trd offroad i max and ill keep for 10 years.
So so many times at dealership the always say oh we need to do align, i say dont touch it …i rotate tires , and theres no crazy wear , no wobble smooth as silk …use 4 wheel drive year round in all situations ………so my question i guess is do you guys keep doing aligns??

I believe in getting alignments because,if you are going to keep it for years and the alignment parts aren’t loosened and tightened and get rust covered the dealership doesn’t want to heat the nuts and bolts up like old school, they want to replace everything underneath which costs $$$$$

You don't need to do an alignment when changing tires or wheels but it's a good idea to check it every 6 months due to road conditions or going off road.

@Moundman how’d you wire up your larger light bar? I’m trying to figure out how to wire up one with relays and the aux switches right now. I feel like the blue switch wire and the positive have to be spliced into the aux switches maybe? I just don’t want to set my truck on fire lol

Two offroad trips and I needed an alignment. Got it done after replacing tires.

Buy a multi-year alignment package and go have it checked every few months. My vehicle only sees roads and campsites, yet each alignment check has been out and needed to be dialed back in. Outside of the 2h appointment window each time, the cost for a 3y alignment coverage was equal or less than the cost of one tire. I've gone about every 6-7 months so far. Unlike my previous vehicle, this truck does not appear to "hold" alignment well.

Great advice—I’ll ask the offroad shop about a package. Gracias
