2025 TRD Offroad Premium - 10k mi: Filled up, didn't notice until half way home that the gauge only read about 3/4/ (Figured the pump shut off prematurely), went to same pump the next morning and it barely took 2 gallons. I knew something was wrong. Did the reset option where you hold the "ok" button while turning on ignition and it reset back to full and everything looked normal, until I drove a bit and realized the gauge was now stuck on full but the miles were clicking off at what seemed to be a normal rate.
Anyone have any luck resetting this? I am leaving for a road trip in 7 days and have a service appt in 14 days. Not ideal!

I didn't pay $54k for a malfunctioning gas gauge.
Probably irrelevant to you at this point. But be carefull topping off or over filling your gas tank. You can damage your vehicle's evaporative emission control (EVAP) system. Costing yourself a lot of money. Good luck on the trip.

Interesting, I don't over fill though. When it clicks off, I stop. I use the same gas pump nearly every time and it does a good job getting it full every time.

I'm sure none of us did, but from perspective of age and some fleet experience, my only fuel related complaint can be the small gas tank size. No issue or hiccup with my 2024 has been like most vehicles or the horrible ones we all used to have. It's a high volume vehicle so I know that means some of us will still have warranty claims for an otherwise good product.

Agreed, not in love with the small sized gas tank but really, that only plays a part (for me) on longer road trips. I got rid of a 2017 Ram because of the nearly weekly "issues", now 10k miles in on what's supposed to be a top notched reliable vehicle and it's already starting. Plan was (is) to run this vehicle out into retirement, so it's a little disheartening. All that said, I don't expect 100% perfection, especially on the 2nd year of a series.

Been having the same problem for almost a year now. When I full the tank , it says 255 range ( not accurate) 16.7mpg and the gauge is stuck on full, the range keeps counting down . The gauge will start to move after about 50 miles. Like you I didn't pay all this money to be using a calculator. Will just have to wait for a fix.

I have an appointment in a couple weeks. I'll let you know what I find. Have you tried the re-calibration method?

What you describe is normal. I have yet to see a fuel gauge that didn't sit on full for a few miles before starting to drop. Since your fuel range is coming down it tells me you gauge is working properly, just not how you would like.

255 miles after a fill, after getting 16.7mpg, sounds correct. Mine says 240 after I fill and I get around 16mpg.

Mine acts the same way but I assume it isn't normal because it's simply not accurate. I top off every week after only driving between 50-75 miles. If it takes over 5 gallons then the tank is less than 3/4 full but the gage is showing like 95%.

Thank you. This is how modern fuel gauges are made to operate. Gives people a psychological warm and fuzzy being able to drive around on a “full tank” for a while.

I think my issue is different than most people are interpreting what is really going on. I filled up my truck and the gauge stayed on 3/4.
