Looking for a long-distance shipper. My perfect Taco is waiting for me in California, but I live in NJ.
Does anyone have any experience or recommendations on an auto transport company? I have already tried Reliable Carriers, but they do not run that route. I would prefer enclosed trailer if possible.
Thanks in advance.

Have you looked into hiring a private transporter. I hired one to haul my 1 ton Ford from the Eastside of Washington State to the Westside of the state. It was close to 500 miles one way, and the guy charged me $1500.00. It was expensive but the only option I could find
Good luck and I hope you get your dream truck.

Thanks Guys. I am open to all ideas. The trip is about 2500 miles so with the cost of fuel and tolls I am sure it's going to be expensive.

It would be expensive, but you will get to know your truck. You can do the various stages of initial break-in and oil changes along the way. If you’ve got the time and inclination, I would recommend you drive.

That's so funny. I was going to map out all the Toyota dealers from Cali to NJ for oil changes.

Change at 500 miles then at 1,500 then I would be home.

Thanks for the thoughts.

Definitely a good option.
Sidenote: I’m originally from north NJ and live in California.
Also curious about where your perfect Taco is in California. If you need someone to go give it a once-over maybe I can do so if it’s not terribly far away.

Small World Is it not?

That is a very generous offer. The truck I am looking at is in Eurkea California. Looks like it's a bit of a hike from where you are located. Maybe 10 hrs or so.

Yeah, that is quite a hike. Just passed through the area in January :)
My truck performed wonderfully to and from WA.

I used Turntime when I bought my truck through Jim the broker. Maryland to Flordia. They were great.

Found mine in Ohio, flew out and drove it home. One of the nicest road trips I’ve taken.

That's a long trip too. Probably 1200 miles? Did you change the break in oil on the way somewhere
?

Have you asked the dealership you might be buying from?

I bought sight unseen from a dealership in TN and they arranged private transport to my doorstep in Maryland for me. Charged ~$1000 if I recall (basically $1/mi one way).

Yes, they offered to ship for 3500.
Using a dispatch service. I did just get a quote for 2500 that I am considering and from what I gather it’s an actual owner with several drivers covering the US.
